Tommy's spinning Kit is still the best there is when it comes to giving the fans their money's worth.

Oh really... Is that where the bar is set now?

I keed, I keed. It does play into the recent conversations on Electronic Drum forum about why E-Drums are not spotlighted. Much of it has to do with presentation believe it or not. Not how they sound, but how they look. Someone made the comment about getting their money's worth with a massive set on stage. That's what they want to see.

To me, the counter would be, if the drummer had an E-drum, he was screwing over the audience by playing on 'not such a massive set'. I'm trying to walk around the term 'toy set'.  :-\

Ask yourself this: Would you rather drool over Neil Peart's massive drum kit or an e-drum?

For an auditorium, Neil's set. But that's because I know he plays everything and it sits well on stage.

I've seen kits in a band, where it was all show. Didn't play them.

I go back to inspiration of Paul McCartney & Wings, where Joe English plays this rather unassuming set... In a huge arena. He played everything with a purpose. It worked.

OK, this is just weird. Reminds me of the California guys with their hopping cars. WTF?

Weirdest drum kit in the universe

I can't remember where I've seen that set before. Ack! Question: How does the kick drum work if you're floating in mid-air?

He's got practically the whole kit on a platform... except the cymbals... watch how he leans out to get to them.

I'll put it here, but this needs to be somewhere else... like uh, comedy perhaps.

This guy sounds better than a lot of people with high-priced kits. It looks like he was raking it in with the tips.

Stick with it Mac, one of these days you may just end up being half as good as her.
