this guy's channel is kind of annoying at times (he is)  hahaha but the video was decent and had a short Paul Gilbert clip in it!

That Rene' guy is a great pitchman for the guitar...he keeps pointing out VERY small differences and sort of grinding into people's heads "this is cool because it's different"

like manipulating the more easily swayable masses on the smallest details and why the guitar is "different" than a strat.

Great thread. As for Music Is Win, I have been a subscriber of his for a while and yes, he can get annoying. But when he cuts loose, he can shread with the best of them. Looking forward to more gear talk on here.

Hey where do you see Rob Chapman's guitar company in 20 years?

can he build this into a PRS scenario?
I'd be curious on your thoughts...can internet fame and a dream (which has now come to it's first phase of fruition)...be enough to propel him to the top?

I am happy for him and wish him all the best.

but I still want to hear your prediction?

will this be a low range brand..or a balance of both high end and "affordables"

give me the angles.

They have them at the Guitar Center in La Mesa//

interesting./

That's a tricky thing....turning internet "fame" into a Fortune 500 Company, at least a very very successful one that isn't that high on the charts. As great as Chapman Guitars look and sound, to me they are still a niche brand and that isn't meant in a derogatory way. Why is Ibanez a powerhouse? Gibson? Fender? It comes down to who they are able to get to push those instruments. The Vai and Satriani name goes a long way in the bottom line for Ibanez. Angus Young and Slash's name recognition goes a long way to make kids want their respective Models and you know who pushes the Strat....Malmsteen. So until Chapman has someone on that level pushing their Brand, they will still be at a lower tier company. Think of it this way, if Vai were to end his association with Ibanez today and start using Chapman, their stock and name recognition would skyrocket. It would be THE guitar to have. Yeah, it's superficial to want a specific guitar just because so-and-so uses it....but that's the name of the game.

Phillip breaks it down well and there were issues with the guitar

Here's Rob if you're interested talking about the same model.

I really like the look of this guitar...super sleek for metal

hahahahahaha

you are too funny!!!

hahahahahahahaha

He's super charismatic and him talking about the guitar is not only interesting, but historical with his knowledge of the stratocaster and what that brings into their design....and then the process of them
designing his strat for PRS....so it's all very interesting and he plays a bit which is also damn good.

I am digging the conversation for sure...I could listen to this a couple of times honestly...it's got a LOT of depth...the guy is smart as a whip/
