looks to be expanded 16 pages...so the second edition is not that much bigger....she's a liar just like Peter or exaggerator...lets say

hahah

anyway...like I said...she's about 20 down my checklist right now....so I'll be seeking it out...just not right now

enjoy it though...I have heard and read it's amazing and right up there if not BETTER than KISSTORY 1....so it should be killer!!

I went back to check it out again and it's even worse than I remember. The binding is falling apart. I seriously doubt anyone will offer anything beyond 10-15 bucks for it. It's garbage. Check it out here.

one cool thing your copy has is that Peter's social security number is in it.

I guess they removed that from the second...so that's a really neat thing that isn't in the second printing!

Time for some identity theft my friend!

GO now~~!!

16 pages isn't sh*t...I like how in her site she pulled down what I'd read about a year back...she really made it sound much more expanded...I guess there's a full list of EVERY show Peter ever played in the second edition too...not a big deal...but kind of neat.

I guess there's two pages of repetitive text in your copy also they fixed./

Well based on your ringing endorsement about the book a few months back, I had to get it just for all the never before seen photos. But it's also an investment as well. So, I will definitely be handling this with kid gloves.

"It's mint and I want top dollar."..it comes and smells like it was stored in someones wet ass for 12 years.

screw that./

you got a nice copy...and again you can get a brand new second printing hard cover for under $40 right from Lydia.

I just order the first 3 Zeppelin box sets....I found a site that had them for about $10-$20 cheaper than amazon plus free shipping...so I saved about $45-55 on the 3.

Pretty excited...I don't really imagine they will be that sonically different although Page supposed used all the master tapes etc...and it was all transferred at some ridiculously high frequency people on earth can't even comprehend yet....but

anyway...they look pretty amazing and the staying power for me and Zeppelin has been unwavering for 25+ years so I am positive they are something I will cherish til I die.

:)

"With the June 3 release of deluxe editions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin III, the band will launch an extensive reissue program of all nine of its studio albums in chronological order, each remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. Led Zeppelin will also open its vaults to share dozens of unheard studio and live recordings, with each album featuring a second disc of companion audio comprised entirely of unreleased music related to that album.

"The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin,” says Page. “It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded at the time”

Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin III will each be available June 3 from Atlantic/Swan Song in the following formats:

·    Single CD – Remastered album packaged in a gatefold card wallet.
·    Deluxe Edition (2CD) – Remastered album, plus a second disc of unreleased companion audio.
·    Single LP – Remastered album on 180-gram vinyl, packaged in a sleeve that replicates the LP’s first pressing in exacting detail. (For example, III will feature the original wheel and die cut holes.)
·    Deluxe Edition Vinyl – Remastered album and unreleased companion audio on 180-gram vinyl.
·    Digital Download – Remastered album and companion audio will both be available.
·    Super Deluxe Boxed Set – This collection includes:
o    Remastered album on CD in vinyl replica sleeve.
o    Companion audio on CD in card wallet.
o    Remastered album on 180-gram vinyl in a sleeve replicating first pressing.
o    Companion audio on 180-gram vinyl.
o    High-def audio download card of all content at 96kHz/24 bit. (Live tracks are 48kHz/24 bit).
o    Hard bound, 70+ page book filled with rare and previously unseen photos and memorabilia.
o    High quality print of the original album cover, the first 30,000 of which will be individually numbered.
o    Led Zeppelin will also include a replica of the band’s original Atlantic press kit."

so you get the original album...and extra album or rare stuff..hard cover book etc etc.

was hoping KISS would do something like this.

there's always year 50!!

yeah no ****...they are $118 a pop on amazon still...it's not cheap...but my love for Zeppelin is so strong...I'd be kicking myself for the next 20 years for passing on them.

it's just way to iconic to pass up.  They were selling for around $126-140 a piece...I got mine for $114 and then free shipping.

there's more to come later this year....crazy ****

throw in KISS and 34 LPs....holy f*ck.

I really want that anvil case thing...but there's no way I am going to drop some $1500- who knows...my guess still is it will be between $1500-1800....there's a reference that in Japan it was $1800 but it wasn't for sale at that price...but I think it will sit just under 2K

I just don't need the anvil case and all the extras besides what would come with just buying the single LPs I want....it's just not there.

there's 11 small 11X17 posters....and 6 records that won't be released right now on vinyl...so it's like....I am going to miss alive III and some funky smashes trashes and hits thing...double platinum I can buy used anyway.

so I may cut my loses and just end up buying...like 20-25 of the individual records...hopefully at like $20-25 a pop...although in the US  they are being sold right now for $35 a piece...which is a ****ing RIP OFF!

I'm just going to wait it out and let all the hoarders grab what they want and then once that market leaves, the price will drop to a respectable level, one that I will be able to pick up and not feel guilty about buying. There are a few that I want to replace because of the bad disc ring on the covers.

yeah exactly...the thing with the anvil case is....it come with dominoes...and a kiss record cleaning rag...and a rubber mat for your turn table that says KISS...the anvil case thing...like where the f*ck am I going to put it?  Out in storage and keep the records in my office.

so it's like....I can buy the records I reaaaaaaally want again(which is MOST if not ALL of them...if the sound quality is good...I'll buy a bunch) but I mean...the 11 small 11X17 posters the anvil case comes with is the best "perk" and it's not all that cool either.

if they end up copying Zeppelin at some point with like the "uber" edition Super Deluxe BOX set of each album" back the truck up...holy cow....that is going to be crazy.

I think they will...why wouldn't they look at what Zeppelin did and copy it.

$118 X 34 KISS records......wow....would be crazy

it's crazy fun as fans...we get to see all this amazing stuff and kind of pick what we want and can afford.

Once Gene and Paul have been off stage for a couple of years, they will always be churning out merch to keep their pockets full. So you can absolutely count on the fact that this current "Deluxe Edition Set" is the first.....not the last. There is more to come in the next 10 years or so. And you know what, as we talked about before regarding Ace and Peter rejoining at some time, it will absolutely happen because THAT becomes more footage for them to use, be it in KISSOLOGY or CD/Vinyl releases. They may all hate each other, but they all know what is going to sell the most and bring in the biggest $$$$$$$$$.

If I had a choice in working "peacefully", but struggling to make ends meet vs working with my "enemy" and having a brink truck rolling into my driveway each week, you can pretty much figure out which choice I would be making.

that's what 4 different tour buses are for!!

and bring on the super deluxe KISS records BOX sets (like the Zeppelin thing)...I want at least the first 12 or so!!

can you imagine a 70 page hard cover book for EACH album and that era?? PLUS each comes with another FULL LP of rare demos and live concerts!!!

that would be RAD/

I guarantee Paul will get all the Zeppelin Super Deluxe Box sets as they come out anyway he's a big fan.....he's going to look at that and go...we should totally do this!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE IT!!
