Mikey Jacko's Axe Slinga for 10 years. When I ran into her, she had literally 30 + CD's in her arms. She was buying them all and was trying to carry them up to the counter to pay for them. I ended up asking her about who and what she was buying and she starting naming specific songs that she wanted. Talked about guitar playing of course. I didn't ask any "what is Mikey reeeeeeeeeally like" questions. She said she kinda remembered me from the NAMM show. But then again, she was probably just being nice to me so she could get into my pants.

And yes, she lived in San Diego back then. Not sure if she does now.

that's right I do remember she was from here, or lived here/

that's cool to have met her and actually gotten to talk with her.

30 CD's....that's a solid chunk of change!

You mentioned Tower Video across the street in an earlier post. I was friends with one of the guys that worked the cash register and I asked for the HUGE Titanic Display that had on the wall. Now, I'm not talking some lil poster here. It was a MONSTER set up...official  s h i t  sent to them by the Studio to hype up the DVD release. So, I ask if I could have that  s h i t  when they changed to the next upcoming DVD release. Had to wait something like 3 months, but it was worth it. Still have it. Out in the garage. Getting it home was the problem that I had to solve because it was HUGE.

So, that's my Tower Record/Video keepsake.

John Taylor & Simon Le Bon - What's In MyBag?

Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer - What's In My Bag?

I've been wanting to go to Amoeba for quite some time now. It's just that I haven't been able to find any free time to actually drive up to Hollywood. I am hopeful that I can get this road trip done some time this summer as I want to load up on a lot of vinyl's that I remember from my youth that are kind of hard to come by now due to price gouging on eBay. Would also probably upgrade some of my KISS vinyl's, a few which have seen better days, but the cover art is not the best as of now.

As for these clips, I get a kick out of listening to big stars reduced to little kids as they snap up albums from their youth's either as replacements of for the first time.

Jenna Jameson Tower Records Exclusive Variant

I don't know what it is, but today I've had this overwhelming need and want to go to Tower Records. It just sucks knowing that once was, will never be again. No major record stores of any kind....anywhere. I don't count places like Target or Best Buy. I'm talking about a genuine Record Store that is all about music. While thinking about Tower Records, I started trying to remember the last thing I ever bought there and it was the Jenna Jameson Tower Record Exclusive Variant. I actually had to go to both places (one on Sports Arena Drive and one on El Cajon Blvd.) to double up on them.

Tom Scholz Is Furious About the New Vinyl Version of Boston’s Most Recent Album

I can only imagine how p*ssed off Tom is right now. He makes an artistic decision to put it on the back burner, only to have some f*cking suit disregard his decsion and release it anyway? What the f*ck! I get the feeling they didn't even have any kind of further talks about it and were going to release it 'as is'  regardless of what Tom wanted.

not the same level but I read this a night or two ago...that Todd McFarlane has sent in a cover sketch for Wild cats of Grifter...it was just supposed to be a rough/ thumbnail done about 5 inches tall etc.....Wildstorm colored and published as the printed cover..he was shocked to find that out.

I'd never seen the piece and if I did...I don't think it made much of an impression/
