Queensr˙che (Operation: Mindcrime) 1988

I'm really torn between which album I think is their true masterpiece:
Rage For Order or
Operation: Mindcrime. Now for years it has always been
Mindcrime that was their crowning achievement. But having just gotten done listening to
Mindcrime today and
Order yesterday, it's literally neck and neck between the both of them. I think part of the reason why I'm on the fence is that the first two
Queensr˙che albums have that definitive sound that is their trademark. But on Mindcrime it's a little more "traditional". By that I mean that the album, thus the sound of the band itself is a little more accessible to the average fan. Now I don't know if this was by design to get more radio airplay or just an outgrowth of their songwriting. There are some amazing, incredible songs on Mindcrime that belong up there with the best ever.
This is without question the greatest Concept album ever made. Sorry, but
Tommy and
The Elder can go sit in the corner and weep and what they couldn't achieve with theirs. Right off the bat you have
Revolution Calling which may be my 2nd favorite
Queensr˙che song of all time. The song is addictive and an earworm. One listen and it gets stuck in your head for days....if not weeks. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day listening to this one so that I can make a clear cut decision once and for all which is the best album. Damn it, I just remember I have
Empire to listen to as well. Well, this is gonna be a bloody fight to the end for sure. Kinda like
Geoff and the rest of the band.

Fave Songs:
Revolution Calling, Eyes Of A Stranger, I Don't Believe In Love and
Suite Sister Mary are tops in my book. But I love the entire album.
