Interesting mash-up of artist joining forces with John Mellencamp, T Bone Burnett and Stephen King. I'm interested in checking this out.

I don't remember reading anything about them or even knowing who they are. FYI, I miss this thread.

I might consider getting this...

Viva! Hysteria - Def Leppard

Quote
For the first time ever, Def Leppard played their album HYSTERIA in its entirety during an eleven-show residency which started on March 22, 2013 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas. The band also opened for themselves under the fictitious name of DED FLATBIRD for two different sets on each of the nights. During those DED FLATBIRD sets, the band showcased some fan favorites and rare songs from the early years of the band in addition to playing a selection of their greatest hits, highlighting classic material from throughout their career. The VIVA! HYSTERIA show featured an elaborate set design created specifically for Def Leppard 's Las Vegas residency.

Known for legendary big-scale arena shows, Def Leppard will bring their over-the-top production to your house as VIVA! HYSTERIA is their first full live show shot in HD to be released commercially. VIVA! HYSTERIA showcases for the first time the band's career-defining album performed live in its entirety - from start to finish - for a commercial audio/video release.

Blu-Ray also includes bonus content of the acoustic medley: Where does love go when it dies/Now/When Love & Hate Collide/Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad/Two Steps Behind.

1. Women
2. Rocket
3. Animal
4. Love Bites
5. Pour Some Sugar on Me

This is a surprise

Life, Love & Hope - Boston
December 3, 2013

Quote
The countdown to the next new batch of Boston recordings has begun in earnest, and although the Dec. 3 release date for the band’s first new LP in 11 years might still feel pretty far away, at least we now have a record cover to look at while we wait.

Titled ‘Life, Love & Hope,’ the new record marks Boston’s arrival on Frontiers Records after successful stints at Epic and MCA, as well as a brief stop at Artemis for 2002′s ‘Corporate America’ release. And according to Scholz, his latest music deliberately hearkens back to the band’s best-known hits.

“These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston’s harshest critic, me. They have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston’s hits for the past 35 years,” said Scholz in a press release. “I intentionally stayed close to the early Boston style on some of the songs, even using the same amps and instruments; on others I let my imagination run wild.”

‘Life, Love & Hope’ marks the first Boston release since the tragic passing of original singer Brad Delp, who took his own life in 2007. But thanks to Scholz’s legendarily deliberate pace, the track listing will still feature performances from Delp, as well as vocals from Tommy DeCarlo, Kimberley Dahme, David Victor…and Scholz himself.

‘Corporate America,’ released eight years after 1994′s ‘Walk On,’ peaked at #42 on the Billboard albums chart.

This is a surprise

Understatement of the year. Was not expecting to ever hear that Boston would have another album in the works.

I've been hearing about this for about a year. I'm pretty excited... Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Santana IV (April 15, 2016)

April 15, 2016 marks the release date of Santana IV, the wildly anticipated studio album that reunites the revered early 70s lineup of guitar icon Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums). The album signifies the first time in 45 years since 1971 s multi-platinum classic Santana III that the quintet has recorded together.

Santana IV features 16 all-new tracks written and produced by the band that burst with the same unparalleled energy and superlative musicianship that made Santana a pioneering force in world music and a household name across the globe. Joining the core Santana IV band in the studio are current Santana members Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass), with the legendary vocalist Ronald Isley guesting on two cuts.

The origins for the reunion go back several years, when Schon suggested that he and Carlos Santana record together. Santana liked the idea but went one better, proposing that they recruit Rolie, Shrieve and Carabello for what would be called Santana IV. After initial writing sessions and rehearsals took place in 2013, the group recorded throughout 2014 and 2015, amassing 16 spellbinding tracks that combined all their signature elements Afro-Latin rhythms, soaring vocals, electrifying blues-psychedelic guitar solos, and irrepressibly jubilant percussion work with widescreen hooks and melodies that will lodge themselves in the thicket of listeners senses and stay there.
