Ozzy Osbourne (Ozzmosis) 1995 Ozzmosis. Ugh. I'm not really a fan of this one at all in spite of what other fans say. Only
Ozzy and
Zakk return from their last album. On board for Bass duties is the one and only
Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) and
Deen Castronovo on Drums. On Keyboards is
Rick Wakeman (Yes). Yes, THAT
Rick Wakeman (pun soooooo not intended).
There's really only a few songs that are worthy of my time and yours. The best of course being
See You On The Other Side. This song has all the trademarks of vintage
Ozzy. Everything you can ask for is here.
Perry Mason is a fantastic song to open the album up with. And
I just Want You is another great song. Rounding out the best is
Old LA Tonight. After that, the pickings are pretty slim. Most of the songs just feel incomplete for one reason or another. Also, the production seems lifeless and cold here. And I think the mix for the bulk of the album is pretty bad as well.
The
2002 Reissue comes with 2 additional bonus tracks for
Whole World's Fallin' Down and
Aimee.Fave Songs:
Perry Mason, I Just Want You, See You On The Other Side and
Old LA Tonight.Album cover is meh. Don't like it. Never have.
