I'll post my thoughts before I read yours...I saw you gave it 5 stars....

a little surprised to be honest.

as you know I am a big Michael Schenker fan and have been for about 28 years....the pedestal Eddie puts him on is really silly....maybe because he's (Schenker) is under rated in many ways...and will never be mentioned in the circles of Ritchie Blackmoore, Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, or even someone like Brian May....he's more known as maybe a Gary Moore level player...if you are really into guitar or the history of rock...sure you'll find Michael's impact on a lot of player.s...just like you will with Uli John Roth.

But I mean even as huge Michael Schenker a fan...I was uncomfortable with how Eddie treated Mike McCready (even placing him in the second seat for his interview segment)  who's band Pearl Jam (whom I am not a fan of) has done 3 times what Schenker has done...and has probably sold 10 times the amount of albums....he was a good sport and I thought was fun to listen to talk...he had more to share and Eddie neglected that fact...I really don't feel like Michael would have minded a few minutes NOT totally focused on him.  McCready's health problems were a surprise to me...and I hope he stays healthy...he's lucky because he has the funds at least to get the best care to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

so to focus so heavily on MS for the full hour seemed like overkill....and lets face it...it really was ALL about Eddie NOT Schenker.  I am 100% serious about that.  It was about Eddie being the BIGGEST fan.

I did like the episode and thought Michael looked great and talked about a lot of cool stuff...I didn't realize that he was younger than Rudolph  /  No internet when we were kids...so I never knew his age or relationship with Rudolph other than they were brothers and had crisscrossed in bands before......would have loved to see him play a little guitar....the guest guitarist was ok....he seems like maybe he's had some health problems or something...he's very heavy handed on the guitar and I felt like his in's and out for the ads weren't all that interesting....seemed like a cool guy so I am not going to really go off...it's maybe not his thing to just wing a short riff that  might be fun to listen to.

I could give two ****s about the list most times....and I think even stump the trunk is getting kind of old.

I will say they do help keep the show varied...and I agree with you...the deeper into episodes the show gets the more Don and Jim are shinning and Eddie is getting old.

I'd give it a 3...since you gave it a 5...I'll go 4....I love Mike but felt Eddie made it a little uncomfortable.

he could have celebrated the music more, than really just verbally gushing chewing up precious time during the segments.
