Episode 1: David Draiman & Adrenaline Mob

Special Guest Drummer: Mike Portnoy

Pretty decent episode. It's not neccessarily an episode that I would be anxious to see, only because I don't follow Disturbed like I do a lot of other bands. But they do have some killer songs that I really like, my fave being Down With The Sickness, which I always played on Rockband.  As for the episode itself, David Draiman is very well spoken and very articulate. He had a lot of interesting things to say which kept my interest, which is something the guest of late of not been able to do. I know who Adrenaline Mob is, I just haven't gotten around to giving them a listen. All in due time....

The Throwdown was interesting. It's a battle between Ronnie James Dio and Ronnie James Dio. Which is better? Holy Diver or Last In Line? Without question everyone is gonna go with Holy Diver. But for me, I have a soft spot for Last In Line because that was the first Dio album I bought. I say that Holy Diver takes it though.

I liked the episode but it's been so many weeks since I've seen it....it's like a distant memory....not sure I'd watch it again...I'd give it a 3 out of 5...BUT because I like the show and the singer of Disturbed was a good interview.....I'll give it 4!

had NO clue who the other guys were...and I am over Mike Portnoy.  I read and saw some interviews with the guys from A7X and how he started shooting his mouth of that he was in their band, quit Dream Theater and was constantly chatting online and doing basically press about him and the band (who'd just lost their drummer from an accidental pill overdose)...and they gave him(Portnoy) the boot.

I get if you get the chance to be on TV and you are a guy who needs the press you do it.

But a lot of artists handle their **** a lot differently and still get their name out there.

Steve Stevens might be a good example...great player and he lets the music do the talking....he doesn't need to run his mouth and act like he's got lead singer syndrome all the time.

so enough Portnoy for me...great drumming...but he's starting to wear thin right now.

Have not heard about Portnoy. So that's news to me.

The closest TMS will ever get is having Wolfie and Valerie on. That's it. Don't hold your breath for the other 3.

Episode 2: Bobby Blotzer & L.A. Guns

Special Guest Guitarist: Steve Stevens

So, TMS is now turning into the Jerry Springer show eh? I knew as soon as I saw that Steven Riley and Phil Lewis were booked on this episode it was mainly with the intent to fire back at Tracii Gunns for what he said back in Season 9. Even if this does seem to be a mudslinging show now, it does need to be addressed. I still think that Phil and Steven are hiding something. Nothing really came to light to back up either ones claim. So, next season they should bring back all the players for an hour long cage match. 3 Men enter, one man leave. Beyond Thunderdome, b*tch! Still an entertaining episode. Bobby Blotzer didn't really add much to the festivities. Even the stories that he did talk about as being in the book weren't all that entertaining. Certainly not a book that I intend to check out for myself, that's for sure.

for some reason I liked this better than episode 1.  Not sure why.....was cool watching the guests really crane their necks to see Steve Stevens play....I thought overall the interviews were decent and I liked it and would probably watch it a second time...

not sure what I'd rate it...probably a 3 out of 4. (I won't add the extra star in for episode 2)

.they only get that on the season opener!

Hope the guests improve this season....I already know who's on tonight....so looking forward to episode 3.

With Geoff Tate on tonight, it's definitely going to be Jerry Springer 2. I'd be disappointed if it wasn't. I want more information regarding his ouster. He should join up with Great White Version 2, or Ratt Version 2 or LA Guns Version 2. What other band has two versions? If this was a couple of years ago, he could have hooked up with The Beach Boys Version 2 and sung the hell out of Good Vibrations.....30 octaves higher!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

my guess is there's still some litigation going on with this thing...so he's not going to be able to say too much.

there's no way this split is legally all wrapped up....the fact that he may have physically assaulted the other member of the band...or verbally was assaulted.

could be pretty messy still./

I feel confident regardless it will be a great epsidode....I do know who the second guess is....and they are a strong act as well!

On a different topic, why not have singers....SING on the damn show!? They have drummers, bass players and axe slingers. Give Geoff 2 turn tables and a  f*cking  microphone damn it!! They don't need a full band to sing. Backing tracks ala Milli Vanilli. I'm hyper tonight!!!!

Episode 3: Geoff Tate & Zakk Wylde

Special Guest Guitarist: George Lynch

This was a very disappointing episode all around. I had very high hopes we were gonna get something good. What we end up with is Geoff more or less being and looking very uncomfortable being on the panel and Zakk trying his hardest to be the class clown and failing miserably in the process. I can give Geoff a pass given his situation, but it just wasn't fun watching him trying to look like he was enjoying his stay on the show. He clearly wasn't. But Zakk, I really don't know what the hell was going on with him. His jokes and stories were just awful. Eddie built up this big story that he read from Zakk's book as being the funniest thing ever. And then Zakk told the story to the audience and it was not funny. It was downright embarrassing.

Getting back to Geoff, when the interview started and he was basically skirting around the issue that he didn't know what the other band members were "thinking", I expected it. But I will give Eddie his due for pressing the issue and getting Geoff to respond to the allegations of the fight and the spitting incident. But it was all rehash. Nothing new came from this interview that we didn't already know.

I agree....Zakk was a bone head...Geoff was trying to be cool...but looked like a trapped rat.

and then you have the "Him-Bo"

George Lynch...some decent riffs but the guy is literally the most non personality person on the planet.

I'd give this episode a zzzzzzzzzzzz on the scale of 1-5 stars.

great guests...but not a great show
