I would have no problem picking up a Vinyl Import and in case you wondering, yes, I would buy two. One for me to go in my 'never f*cking open stash' and one for me to open and listen to.  ;D

Just don't stack them on the heat register, like some dumbass person I know

or in the basement... that may flood or get damp

or on the shelf of the back seat of a car

I'm not saying I did any of these things... I do know a person like that.

Wow. Was not expecting to hear such good news this morning. Is this an official statement that was released by the band? Anyway, welcome to the boards.  :)

an "unofficial" word from the owner / founder of TWD US label...
Loud & Proud Records will make an official announcement if all goes well.

Nice. Will definitely pick up two copies for myself. So I would take it that the album has to sell a certain number before it's considered for Vinyl status? 100K? 500K? One Million? One million is kind of hard for a new band to hit, especially in this day and age.

Same here..
I already have the Japanese CD release and have pre-ordered my US release...
I miss vinyl.... something about sitting there and reading the credits while that big disc is spinning on the turntable ..ahh, memories of my youth!

TWD album is incredible.... LOVE the ballads... and Richie has some unique phrasing , a punchiness, on Criminal (Japanese bonus track) that I'm crazy about!

Criminal is frickin' sick. Love it. You wouldn't happen to have any information on US Tour Dates would you?

BB Kings in NYC for Aug 3rd has already been announced.
Two more shows, not "officially" announced are supposedly confirmed for Agoura Hils (LA area) Cali and Lancaster, PA for August
More dates in October... but I have no info on those yet.

I sure hope that Agoura Hills isn't the closest place they come to. I would actually make the trip for that show if it was indeed the closest they come around here. Is anyone else on the bill for the Asian Tour? I can't remember if Richie said anything about this on TMS.

I wonder what the criteria is for vinyl release?

It's something that I've actually been wondering about since Vinyl started coming back within the last 5-6 years. But with other artist, the ones that got Vinyl releases right out of the gate were bands and singers that already had a huge following of some kind, with the exception of Chickenfoot. But that band had 4 superstars with name recognition, so they were able to leverage a vinyl release themselves.. Winery Dogs, as awesome as they are, individually, they are not household names beyond the fanboys that would be buying their stuff.

I personally think in the US it's a bit of a 50/50 toss up in terms of if vinyl will be produced (or not) probably based on the label and budget. Out of the US I think it really depends on the region and what traditionally sells best. CD is always a slam dunk I don't even know if they make cassettes anymore and vinyl still has an appeal and is for sure growing in popularity again.

Vinyl is growing in popularity, but in the overall context, it's a very small percentage. I would think its expensive to keep an outdated technology going.

As I remember hearing it, there are only 2 Plants in the states that still produce vinyls. No idea what it is elsewhere around the world.
