Just picked up Hozier. I heard Take Me to the Church some time back and it just had a certain hook.

The rest of the album definitely sounds like this song. Some real good songs, some not bad. It's got a very unique overall feel. Maybe some John Legend, some southern gospel.

So, I'm in the middle of reading Joe Perry's book and he is talking about Mott The Hoople. Now whenever I hear or see the name Mott The Hoople in print or in conversation, I always think of Molly Hatchet because of their similar initials. They obviously have nothing else in common musically. Anyway, I asked myself, whatever happened to Molly Hatchet and what the f*ck was the name of the song/video where the band was 'in a bar'. I didn't remember the name of the song or even how it went. The only thing I remembered was that it was a song that I watched on MTV endlessly because I thought the song was kick ass. This is literally the first time I've listened to the song since the video came out back in 1984 and you know what......the song still kicks ass!! So, there you have it. I've given you your bedtime story for tonight people of Penny Can......now get lost!  ;D ;D

I absolutely loved Molly Hatchets first two albums. Funny thing is I have never seen a video of theirs. They were one of the few groups I just dug the music do much, I didn't have a desire to see what imagery they put to the song. Molly Hatchet just seemed like nothing I'd heard before.

I was actually saddened about Danny Joe Browns early death. Loved his voice. Even bought his solo stuff.

For the past few days I have been listening to a bunch of CDs that I've upgraded to:

Michael Jackson - HIStory
Michael Jackson - Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition

KISS - Self Titled - The Remasters
KISS - Destroyer - The Remasters
KISS - Rock and Roll Over - The Remasters
KISS / Gene Simmons '78 - The Remasters

Kind of swamped at the moment and can't really do a proper review for each. Will definitely do that when time permits and make it a point to compare earlier releases to the Remasters and Special Editions.

P!nk - Try This (2 CD Uncensored Edition)

Yep, I'm still upgrading my CD collection. I just got this in the mail today. Gonna sell the single disc on eBay. I got the 2 CD Edition for $5. I'll be able to sell the single for the same price. So, it's just an even swap when you think about it. Win win.  :) As for the sound of this one compared to the other, there is no difference. I just wanted to get the DVD with it.

I just got KISS' Destroyer Resurrected in the mail. Yep, I finally bit the bullet and decided to get it in spite of the fact that I said I never would. Listening to the Original Pressing right now and after that I will follow it up with Resurrected to compare the two. Should be interesting.
