My taste in music is 'wide ranging' or 'all over the map'. Pick one you think works best for you.
Cool. I tried like hell to show my son a wide range of music, but he definitely gravitated towards a very specific sound. I thought with his marching band, sax and trumpet playing, he would be more open to a wide range. Even when he got into Rock Band that had promise of recognizing some great rock. Now I don't think music means much to him as it used too.
As much as I love Metal, I can't listen to it 24/7. I don't have enough studs, spikes and leather to get me through the week.
It's funny. I was having this converstation with my wife this weekend. There are certain groups/artists that I think are have nailed a song just about perfectly and will stop whatever I'm doing to just listen. I'm speaking of AC/DC, Ozzy, George Thorogood, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. On the other side of the coin I can only really listen to maybe 4 or 5 in a row. Then I need break.
