OK then... It makes sense, the 'original' band has not existed for a very long time, despite a ARS band currently touring.
Atlanta Rhythm Section was considered one of the bigger southern rock band in the 70's. They had some enormous hits like "Doraville", "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight", "Champagne Jam", "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover". I love their take on the classic "Spooky". That was a result of one of the band members being part of the original artist Classics IV. The members were originally studio artists that decided to get together and form a band. They had the classic duel guitar leads like Lynyrd Skynrd and Molly Hatchet, but they had a sound that was less southern, more smooth, mellower and pretty catchy. Live... they would rock the house.
