Totally dig the short. Looks and feels great. Now when you say "they", are you talking about the creators of the short or an actual Studio footing the bill?

My bad... I must have thought feature from some other article

Ruin is a fantastic short sci fi film directed by Wes Ball.

The movie is just 8 1/2 minutes long but is totally stunning both with its rich post-apocalyptic scenery and its action packed sequences.

Reminiscent of some of the other great sci fi shorts that I have featured previously (see related articles bellow) Ruin is absolutely top-notch not only with its dazzling creative vision but also with its captivating, breath-taking execution: this short needs to be a feature film!

Wes Ball is a (clearly very talented) graphics designer who has been working on Ruin at Oddball Animation for the last two years. I am very much looking forward to see what his current project – In Search of Humans, is going to look like when it is finished.

If, like me, you enjoy short, action packed, animated sci fi films, chances are you are going to enjoy Ruin:

Fox is in negotiations to pre-emptively pick up the movie rights to Ruin, an eight-minute animated short by Wes Ball. THR writes that Ball is attached to direct the feature and will co-write the script with T.S. Nowlin. The two likely will work under the supervision of McG, who is negotiating to produce via his Wonderland Sound and Vision, with Steve Tzirlin, a Lucasfilm exec who oversaw story and script development for “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” The video, which debuted on Vimeo in March (watch it above), is set in a post-apocalyptic North American city overgrown with foliage and has an I Am Legend meets Terminator 2 vibe.
