I've always been somewhat of a rebel at any job I've had over the years and I've never had a problem calling out my Bosses and Supervisors on dumbs ideas they've had or wanted to implement into the job, even if would make me the odd man out in the end. Didn't care. So, if I were employed at NBC during this years Olympics and knew first hand what 'Top Exec' was going to do with regards to the Closing Ceremonies, I absolutely would have gone straight to the the 'Big Cheese', whoever the  f u c k  that may be and I would have gladly voiced my concerns and laid out what the fallout would be. If I got fired, so be it. At least I wouldn't be some knucklehead with no balls.

I've learned over the years to never just go straight to your Supervisor (the one that's just a step above your pay grade) to get anything done. First off, they never follow through because most fear for their own place in the company and second, if they do actually relay the information, they usually take the credit for the idea.
