That was excellent. Reminded me somewhat of Inside the Actors Studio, but with a more personable interviewer (Lipton just creeps the fcuk out of me). I wish more people would see stuff like this, because I think so many celebrities are placed on pedestals... by the fan, but ya know what, they are just like you and me. I like sitting in an listening to engaging conversation of the minds like these folks who I really enjoy their talent (vs. hating to listen to politics or rich people or no-talent asshats like Jersey Shore or Kardashians).
Good to see what Apatow is really like. I would love to sit more with these guys and talk more of this stuff.
Comedians sitting around talking has been around for years. I try to catch them when I can. For some reason, I don't think it appeals to the masses. Maybe because they feel left out, or it's not 'stand up'. The most recent episodes are from Showtimes
The Green Room with Paul Provenza. HBO had Talking Funny. and sometime back Larry David had is interviews. But like I said it's been around forever, just not like this. Not riffing on each other, but just a deep conversation of who they are and what comedy is about today.
