Green Day (Live at Saitama, Japan - 2011)

There are Concerts and then there are Concert Films. This falls into the latter. Awesome As F*ck plays more like long form music video than an actual concert. With all the video FX, color changes and behind the scenes added throughout the show, you never really can get into like you would a bootleg concert. At least I couldn't. Keep in mind that this was released for massive public consumption, so there isn't going to be any flaws anywhere when it comes to singing and music. This has a nice shine to it. The songs are great with a packed Set List and is full of energy from start to finish. But for me, it's a little too polished. I prefer the true "Live" shows with all the mistakes that come with putting yourself and your band on the line in front of 40,000 people, or even just a standing-room-only crowd of 300.
