Roger Waters Us + Them Tour (2016)

Just announced, right off from the Oldchella event. And St. Louis is in the tour...
I hope to snag some tickets.

Roger Waters Us + Them Tour (2016)

Roger Waters Announces 'Us And Them' Live Tour[/size

Days after playing the Desert Trip festival in Indio, Calif., Roger Waters is announcing a new, multi-state tour. It's his first since the 2010-2013 tour of The Wall and starts in May of next year, with stops in more than 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Waters has named it the "Us And Them" tour after the song he wrote for Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon. He told NPR Music its themes about the haves and have-nots are more relevant and topical than ever.

"I was listening to [the song] the other day. There's a line which goes, 'With, without, and who'll deny that's what the fighting's all about?' And the answer to the question is this: Almost everyone. Almost everyone will deny that 'with/without' is what the fighting's all about. My contention is that it is. That's why my new tour is going to be called 'Us and Them.' It's specifically about that line."

You can hear more from Waters about the tour by pressing the play button at the top of the page. The excerpt is part of a sometimes intense and exhaustive interview with NPR Music that covered everything from global warming and famine to the U.S. presidential election, racism, education and the military industrial complex. We'll post the complete conversation in an upcoming episode of All Songs Considered.

Waters' "Us And Them" tour will start May 26, 2017, in Kansas City and end Oct. 28 in Vancouver. Tickets go on sale Oct. 21. Waters says it'll be a mix of his solo work and Pink Floyd songs, with a number of newly written tracks for an upcoming album.

Well today at Noon is when the tickets to general public went on sale. Citi members got a crack at them since Wednesday.

I tried and tried like hell to get them, but the stars did not align. Either ticketing web portion choked (which was most of the time). Or it was just too expensive.
I refuse to pay $200/person for tickets.

Then other ticket selling sites were just odd in their price structure. Mezz was WAY more expensive than floor. At it seemed to stay expensive until the very far nose bleed seats.
Long ago in my heyday of concert going, it took awhile, but I learned, it's just not worth buying seats if I can't see their face. It just becomes self defeating to enjoy the event if you can't see it.

So unless something changes, like this evening, get a lucky break, I'm going to just forget it and possibly buy the super deluxe version of Water's latest concert film. I've seen it and absolutely find it one of my fav concert films.

The deluxe version has 95 extra minutes including David Gilmour joining a bit.

Your story is why I'm p*ssed about concerts in general. When did going to see a singer or band become such hard work? It's not fair and more than that, it's stupid it has come to this. I feel your pain bro.  >:(

Agree. I think I've been very lucky up to this point.

About 10 minutes in, I did get some seats available. But, now, stupidly, I thought I could get better. That's when it broke.
