The college fundraising thing is a bit played out, but I can see why it works: it implies a need that can never be filled (college costs as much as a tuition, and never mind the fact that so many diplomas are useless nowadays), it implies the girl is young (college girls: old enough to be legal, young enough to make stupid mistakes like being strippers).  And you've also got that thing where there's a good life choice (going to college, which isn't so much a good life choice as a socially-imposed requirement priced as a luxury commodity) and a bad choice (diving into a sexuality-oriented world, which is bad because we're a puritan country) and having them clash.

Nice.  Dunno if it counts as a strip scene so much as a **** scene, but nice.  I totally forgot about this (or that she and Breckin Meyer were a couple in this AND Rat Race).

I feel like I want to play with that dialogue a bit.

And yet no one here thought of when she was actually a stripper in "Crank."  Or couldn't find a clip of it, apparently.

Because I just watched (or TRIED to watch b/c I didn't like it) this movie about a Brazilian call girl blogger last night, I heard the dialogue an immediately thought I could hear that in a paid situation.  But then I was thinking it would be my stripper character and her crushin' cousin, who lists off all these qualities he sees in her ("she'd be really beautiful, really...") and be vague about it and she'd deconstruct that into telling him he doesn't know what he wants, what he's been told to value or how it's all about... not his desire, but kind of a status thing, you know?  There's some obvious stuff (yeah, she'd be smart, because you don't want a f*cking idiot hanging around), but the point would be that he's not thinking of the girl he wants as a person.

Oh great. Somehow, the coding in this forum knows the discussion, at least in this thread, is about women. I see all kinds of 'dating women' ads at the bottom here. Ugh.

How about ads with cheap tickets to Portland?
