SO GLAD someone else is finally making a stink about this:

The thrust of the article, and it's quick and well-worth reading, is

Well this really applies only to shows that 'ran its course' and had a proper send off. But shows like Firefly and the upcoming Veronica Mars demanded that the series continue onward with movies because of the non-resolution to the series. It's a way to properly wrap up the series and if a movie is the only way to get it done, then so be it. Now take my money and keep the movies coming!
