I'm obsessing with these at the moment since they're showing them off at SDCC. I'm just cheesed that toys didn't look this good when I was a kid, but I guess that's tech and progress (and the realization that those "kids" have a lot more money now).
I REALLY wish I could do some shopping there, if I remember correctly, when I was looking at getting a Kamen Rider W figure I would up getting an SIC figure (which are ALL kinds of awesome) because the price difference between SIC and Figarts was very slim. I'd like to see what these are going for stateside.
SIC figures are redesigned, hyper-detailed and PACKED with ridiculous amounts of extras, my Cyclone/Joker figure can pretty much be entirely disassembled to become a DIFFERENT character. It's nuts. The Figarts figures seem more streamlined and simplified, but I'm just diggin' 'em right now.
And the big thing they're pushing is the new 20th anniversary Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I know it's kinda cheesy and a little lame but it was one of the only shows on when I was a kid and I have a soft spot for it (now I'm more interested in the Japanese version, cause it feels like I can take it apart and "play" with it more).
(I love the box design too, a little more collectable looking)
Yeah, he comes with the Sword of Darkness, ****!And coolest is that the Gokaiger figures are coming out stateside as well. The best looking designs over the past few years and diggable characters to boot (I honestly think you gotta like the person INSIDE the suit to buy the toy of the suit, which I think the show doesn't totally get).
And the Shinkenger/Samurai suits look pretty sweet too, also dig those designs and of course the show wound up sucking.
(Oh man, while finding the images for this thread I found the Figarts for Rider W Cyclone, CLOSE to what I have but not quite, and he looks darn good too)
