Greek Tragedy

Did Naomi just compare Holly harassing her to that of Ivy's struggles of dealing with her dying Husband? Dear God! I know she is shallow, but that's a new low...even for her. Navid seems to be half way to becoming a Crime Lord without even having to try as he will invariably get sucked further into aiding and abetting his Uncle's stolen car ring.

And what's up with Sarah Hagan? I don't know of any other actor/actress that has gone to the same well over and over. So now her character Alana is in college? She was in High School 1999 in Freaks And Geeks, in College in 2001 in Undeclared, in College in 2002 in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and now in the year 2011 she is in College in 90210. Somebody needs to invest in a tutor so she can pass her mid terms and move on.... ;D Having said that, I think her along with the rest of the Sorority should be fun as they, along with Naomi look to crush Holly.

Dixon as a "bad boy" is about as threatening as Donnie Wahlberg is in New Kids On The Block.

FYI, I always knew that Annie would one day become a h00ker.

Yeah, Naomi is a terrible person.  However, I think Ivy is a bit touchy.  She just needs to stop hanging around people and being a Debbie Downer.  GIRL 1: "Ouch, I just broke a nail.  That's sucks."  IVY:  "You know what sucks?  Having a husband that has cancer and is going to die.  That sucks."  *Everyone looks uncomfortable*  Sorry Ivy, if you are going to be like that, why don't you spend more time with your dying husband than complain about the fact that you don't have more time with him while attending a party.

Personally, I would never be friends with chicks like Naomi. I've had my fair share of run-ins with those types. Meh. They really taint everything around them. The only reason I can even stand watching her on 90210 is because she isn't real and it makes for far more entertaining shows. As for Ivy, I was gonna call her out on the "going out to parties" mentality she seems to exhibit lately. Looks like her and Silver will begin to bond....and eventually get into all sorts of shenanigans down the road.

Let The Games Begin

Hubba, hubba!

If the writers of the show can keep coming up with more creative ways to get Naomi into her underwear, I may just forgive them entirely for creating Dixon. Tell me that 2nd pic isn't worth let bygones be bygones?! I gave this episode a generous rating in large part because of Naomi and Holly tearing it up in bikini's. As for the rest of the episode, it was okay, with the biggest twist coming at the end regarding Liam's new "girlfriend's" husband Jim seemingly coming back from the dead. Not sure what's going on here, unless they were out for the insurance money from the start. But why they are targeting Liam is still a mystery to me, given that he was doing the honorable thing in taking care of his "widowed" wife.

Well, we can all see where the next Naomi storyline will come from. She sleeps with Austin, and then she falls back into the arms of Max and then it will be discovered that she is pregnant....for real this time. Then Naomi will lead Max into believing it's his and carry that lie for a good long while. Max will be a standup guy and decide that they should get married because they are about to have a baby together. Naomi will of course agrees to this and somewhere along the way they both will elope and on their wedding day, just as Max is about to say "I do", she will come clean and tell him it's Austin's baby. Or something like that.

Annie is literally a heartbeat away from turning her first trick and I'm not talking about Magic either.

Dixon hasn't bothered me as much this season.  The more annoying characters have been Ivy and Navid's sister.  Ivy can be improved, but Navid's sister needs to meet a tragic end as she takes a corner on Mulholland Drive too fast, and tumbles to her death.  If her vehicle happens to crash on top of Dixon, I wouldn't be sad.

Party Politics

This was a really weird, even dumb episode. Not because of any of the characters or the actors, but because of the writing. I really don't think any of the writers on the show have a clue in how to set up, pace and conclude story arcs. Case in point....

1. Right when they set up the whole Laim and the "Widow" arc, they have Jim pop up. Punches are thrown and then they make up all is well. This was started and wrapped up in 3 episodes. What was the point of this? They had their own "Fatal Attraction" arc set up nicely and then.....

2. They reintroduce Teddy and his Barcelona love interest in the form of Shane right from the start of this episode and the writers expect us to care that Teddy has thrown down the gauntlet of Family over Lover and that it's gonna mean anything to us? We (I) could care less that they are kept apart because we never saw any of their past history together. There is no connection. That's lazy writing on their part if they can't even be bothered to set up the past for those that watch the show.

3. No Politician is ever going to attend a Strip The Vote benefit, no matter how desperate they are for votes. Something like this would sink a political career pretty fast, especially when News camera's catch it all on tape and then spin the story however they see fit.

4. Dixon is "blowin' up". Yeah, right. I'm buying that. Not.

The writers on this show have consistently been bad. Is there even a show runner that bothers to even plot this stuff out longer than a couple of episodes? Overall this was a pretty weak episode.

Benefit Of The Doubt

Better than last weeks, but only by a slim margin. I'm losing interest here. There's is nothing remotely entertaining this season and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they got rid of actors that at least brought something different to the table.

Annie, the "h00ker" with a heart of gold. Yaaaaaaawn. Boring. Navid turns himself in to the cops. Predictable. Naomi is shallow. What's new? Dixon, er...Tristan Wilds can't pull off the idea of being on drugs. Bad actor. Did he ever actually study the craft of acting or is he just winging it?

:::sigh:::

Somebody shoot Leila already!

Tristan Wilds did a good job on The Wire.  I think it's just a terrible character/script for him to work with, which goes back to your main complaint.  I am wondering if there is a new team of writers on this show, because the season does seem disjointed.  I think everyone involved is probably seeing the writing on the wall for cancellation, and they are just throwing stuff on the wall to see what sticks.  If it doesn't, then they just move on and neatly (or not so neatly) close out the story.

The Great Masquerade Naomi Clarke

A whole lot of nothing happened. I just watched the episode and I can't remember much of it. I know there was a party. Um, Dixon and Adrianna were in hand cuffs. Annie put her foot down about being treated like a h00ker. And Silver was on a Truth crusade. Um....can't think of anything else. Oh, Perez Hilton made a cameo which automatically dropped the rating down 2 stars. Ray Wise made a cameo as the schools dean and promptly added 2 stars to the rating. All in all, a very blah episode.

Vegas, Maybe?

I'm a sucker for TV Shows and Movies in Vegas and this one was particularly good...for the most part. But there is definitely a head scratching moment. How did Dixon go from ADD medicine to Coke? Is there something that I missed? That's a pretty big leap. Also, I don't find it believable that Adrianna is going to show up in the nick of time to stop Dixon from falling off the wagon and then immediately jump into bed with him. What? No serious talk about throwing his life away on doing drugs? No "I trusted you and you lied to me" response? Nothing? I will give Ade props for putting Annie in her place and standing her ground, which is something Annie doesn't have a clue about doing.

Annie as usual is a doormat. She sees that her boyfriend Patrick is cheating on her and does nothing. But her accepting his call at the end tells me she has something humiliating planned. So, there is still hope for her that she can finally stand up for herself.

Teddy gets married. Couldn't have been more boring. It wasn't until Silver accidentally sends the video to her Boss, who just happens to be running for Public Office and is the employer of Teddy's new hubby. Should be awesome when everything hits the fan. Carnage!!!!

Billy Ray Cyrus cameo as Austin's "Country Music Legend" father was interesting. I really don't get why Naomi has such low self esteem to continually be chasing after dudes that treat her like sh*t. Since she is the most shallow person on the show, part of me is filled with glee that she brings this on her self.
