A Tale Of Two Parties

A very entertaining episode if a bit stupid. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but usually when you have drunk kids on the screen, it's always good for a cheap laugh in their stupidity in what they chose to say and do. This one gave us some eye-rolling, but funny moments like Caleb "dancing" on the table, Navid and Liam's drink-off and Madison's 'Free Willy' moment. Um, is that even possible? I've always thought that shark tanks have reinforced glass strong enough to withstand the tanks water pressure to keep it from shattering. And yet, it takes only a chick that can't weigh more than 110 lbs one swing of a baseball bat to demolish it.

Navid and Liam drunk is funny. But their "smack" talk was even funnier. Groan inducing yes, but still funny. And Caleb. How does a "priest" even know how to do moves like that? I can't imagine that they watch MTV in church or a monastery, if that's where he was prior to moving to Beverly Hills. Anyway, another Dixon-less episode that was actually good. I hope the show runner for the series is taking note and that there is buzz around the net about how much better the show is without him. If enough people voice their opinion, hopefully the axe will fall on him permantly and he will never be allowed to set foot on the 90210 Set again.

I hope Dixon died.  Sounds mean, but I really do.  Plus, I don't know why Max would choose Naomi.  She is just going to get tired of him and move on.  She just didn't like to lose.  After all, she dumped Max for Austin.  She dumped Austin, because she needed to be alone.  Of course, alone meant she started looking at PJ and almost marrying him.  Finally, she sees Max again, and suddenly she loves him again?  Seems to me like she is the most unreliable of people to bet on for a relationship.  Same with Silver.

Forever Hold Your Peace

Whoa! What started out as a pretty lame Season Finale (the first 40 minutes of the episode) turned into a "Hell yeah"! The last 5 mintues automatically gets me tuning in next season to see what happens next. I'll save the Dixon thing till last. First off, I knew that Vanessa would eventually rear her botox face sooner, rather than later. As soon as I heard that Liam's movie scored 55 Million at the box office, I knew that the Studio would move forward with a sequel, which would mean she would have to return as a "Producer" or whatever.

The next thing that was actually a surprise to see was Teddy returning to the show as the possible baby-daddy candidate for Silver who is looking to get knocked up. I thought the twist was done well. Plus, I just can't stand either Navid or Liam in this lame "love triangle". I seriously want to kick their asses so that I'd have a better shot at Silver. Having said that, Teddy doesn't look all that enthusiastic about doing the deed.

As for Dixon, I had already written him off the show. I really didn't expect to see him set foot on the set ever again with the way they were getting creative in hiding him, It was kinda like watching Suzanne Somers on Three's Company when they were trying to keep the character "alive" elsewhere, but not have any involvement with the actor per se. Not sure if they are killing his character off or not as I don't know where it's going.

With all that said, please get rid of Ivy as well. Why is she even on the show? Her character is so far removed from the core cast and has always been the outsider. And whenever she does share screen-time with them....she is STILL an outsider. The way she rushed to the airport at the end of the episode and told the Ticket Agent how her "boyfriend lives in Mexico...." had me rolling my eyes in how bad the dialogue was on top of the way she was reading her lines. Awful!

I thought the same exact thing while watching it play out. Max will be a distant memory by episode 2 of next year.
