Homecoming
Damn it. I wanted to quit this show because this season has been a struggle at times to get through. It's been very uneven season and factor in the loss of
Marg Helgenberger and you have a show that's a shell of it's former self. It's ironic that this episode pretty much shines a light where things started going downhill for the series by bringing back the man that killed
Warrick Brown. For me, the episode
"For Gedda", in which
Warrick is gunned down was what got the ball rolling for the exodus of some major characters over the next few seasons and has never fully recovered from.
Anyway, I decided to give
Ted Danson a shot to see what he could bring to the series. He's not bad and it's not even his fault, but some of the episode were just poorly written and not engaging at all. This episode was actually good and the ending pretty much guarantees that I will turn in to
Season 13 to see what happens next, now that
Ecklie has been gunned down and
DB's granddaughter has been kidnapped. But the biggest cliffhanger is that
Nick quits
CSI. I'm sure he will rescind that to help
DB solve the case and get the kid back.
