Angels In Paradise



This one centers around foiling a kidnap/hostage situation with a long-thought-to-be-dead-father who faked his own suicide to avoid prosecution and is now being used to kidnap his own son. Pretty basic stuff here. But it's the little backstory involving one of the Angels, Abby, that's most interesting.

We get to meet her father, who is serving time in prison, played by John Terry, better known as Christian Shepard from LOST. At the end of the episode it's insinuated that he has a connection to Charlie, the benefactor of the Angels. Interesting. I'm guessing that John Terry's role on the show playing Victor Sampson will be a recurring one.

Ugh. So much for this one sticking around. I knew the serious tone of the show would be it's down fall. There is none of that 'wink wink' of the original series or the campy fun of the films. This version was straight ahead action. I liked it and it sucks this show is done. They will be airing the remaining 4 episodes to burn off what's left. I guess it's time to bring Minka Kelly back to Parenthood, which I have no problems with.

Black Hat Angels



Pretty good episode about Bosely's identity being stolen by a former partner of his; Zoe "Oswald" Sinclair (Peyton List). But it's what happens in the final 2 minutes that made me p*ssed that this show got cancelled. They are (were) setting up something pretty big when Zoe goes to visit Abbey's father in prison to set up a partnership to unmasked Charlie's identity.

Sadly, I will never get to see this played out. Only 3 episodes left that will be aired.

It took me awhile to remember where I had seen Peyton List last time. It was on Flashforward.

It is. They are just burning off the remaining 4 episodes. Minka Kelly is in it. Good eye candy to look at regardless if the series is DOA.

Royal Angels



Not one of their better episodes. It wasn't the story that sucked, which centered around an assassin targeting a kid who's got a chance to make it to the NBA, who also just happens to be heir apparent as the next King. It was the bad acting by the Prince and his girlfriend that had me rolling my eyes. There was also the case of the two "assassins" that stormed Bosley's house. The fighting and their "swat" gear was laughable.
