Back when Danny and Barbara got the evidence they needed to bust Kerry and put him away for a long time, they decided to take it a step further...to humiliate him. And how they did that was through Barbara, who at the time was posing as his girlfriend, leading him on and convincing him to divorce his wife and leave his family, his son, which he did. So, when he found out that not only was he being arrested, but that he had been duped by her, it didn't sit well with him.

While in prison, he received a video tape that his son made specifically for him to watch. On the tape was his suicide. That just added more kindling to his revenge-fire if you will.

So, with Kerry out of prison, he sets out to harrass the Arno Family, eventually kidnapping Chance as payback. I won't say anymore other than that this was a very well written episode. Very tense.

...it's Celeste that becomes a key witness in his murder, that paints a bullseye on her back for the killer to strike again. The epilogue to close out the episode about Danny/Dad returning the cat to the animal shelter and what exactly happened to said cat was....puuuurfect.

Even though the Arno Family could never catch Collado lying about the insanity plea, the ending of the episode can be interpreted in that he pulled off the ultimate misdirection with what he does at the very end. Ha. Clever...and funny. Or what Danny would call the "Screw you wink".

...which resulted from Danny trying to get in tight with a known murderer and gun runner by unloading Bazooka's. Everything was working all according to plan till Chance innocently let slip that he wasn't Italian which was part of his cover story. The gang, now aware they were being set up by the Arno Family and the Feds, look for payback by blowing up their house.


With their cover now blown, the family has no choice but to once again relocate elsewhere. Destination: Salt Lake City, Utah. A lot of Bazooka Joe was shot down at the San Diego Marina. But there wasn't any clear landmarks worth getting a Screen Cap of.

I remember the series having some pretty noticeable continuity issues. Some are more forgivable than others, but not in this case. I actually forgot to bring this up a couple of episodes back. In Episode 8: The Fever Flip, Danny's prized car meets it's untimely demise when Kerry Fever blows up his car in the Trade Winds Motel parking lot beyond repair. But then a couple of episodes after the fact, he can be seen driving the same car without so much as a scratch. Not only is he driving it, but it's able to make it's way to Utah as seen in the ScreenCap below.

Somehow the Arsonist has a Partner (Kris Kamm) who does contract-for-hire jobs to get rid of "problems", the target being Barbara which obviously puts her and the kids in a great deal of danger. The entire episode dealt with how the job at times seems to become the focus and they lose sight of what's really important: Family. This episode was one of the better ones in the series. Great job all around from acting, writing and editing. It's not all doom and gloom though as there are a few instances of comedic levity.
