Shockwave



What an immensely satisfying episode, which was thick with tension from start to finish. What a rush. The entire story basically revolved around Spike as he races to defuse a bomb that will bring down a skyscraper, one that he is already trapped in. But it's not a race to defuse the bomb as it's more a race to get back to his dying father in the hospital. The ending was very touching.

The writers did a good job here. Even though I knew the Bomber to be....

...the Security Guard. It was painfully obvious from the start. But the good writing came because of the twist. My gut reaction was that he set the bomb up so that he could get close to the girl, to bond with her. Turns out that wasn't the case at all, but that it was in fact revenge against the company that fired him.

God, I love this show.
