And Those We Left Behind

I knew that when Raymond asked Kate to finish writing her formula to make her Time Jumping theory complete and permanant that she would end up writing a goodbye note to him. Sad. Another fantastic episode and always good to see Stephen Root (Newsradio) and Romy Rosemontin (Glee) in anything. I loved the reaction that Walter got on his face when he saw how smart Peter is at coming up with solutions to problems, in spite of him purposely avoiding him.

Wallflower

The main story of chasing after the "Chameleon" man was only marginally entertaining. It's not till the end when a couple of guys gas and break into Olivia's place and inject her with something, do things get interesting. And the fact that Nina Sharp is standing at the door raised the bar higher. What are you doing Nina? Was the conversation with Olivia earlier about the experiments done to her as a child hitting a little too close to home? Obviously Olivia is asking the right questions, making Nina squirm and feel the need to wipe the last couple of hours from her mind. Hmmmm?

As for the first 42 minutes of the episode...meh.

Back To Where You've Never Been

Joshua Jackson

Orla Brady & John Noble

Jared Harris

Michael Cerveris

Nice of Fringe to return after such a lengthy hiatus, giving us a great epispde. With Peter (Joshua Jackson) crossing over to the other side in the hopes of convincing Walternate (John Noble) to help him get back to his own universe, we learn that there is a 3rd party that looks to be the ones behind sending the Shape-shifters and that Broyles may in fact be a part of this. Peter enlist the help of his "Mother", Alternate Elizabeth Bishop (Orla Brady) along the way, which was a nice reunion of sorts. We also get a blast from the past with David Robert Jones (Jared Harris), who looks to be the one sending the Shape-shifters, from what I can tell. And The Observer (Michael Cerveris) returns to confront Olivia with a message: That she must die to correct all the universes once and for all.

Enemy Of My Enemy

Now that David Jones has been ID'd as the new Bad Guy, both universes come together to call a truce and work together in bringing him down. But there is still the matter of who is calling the shots and directing Jones. Oh, that would be Nina Sharp. I really shouldn't be all that surprised at the twist at the end. But I kinda am.

Forced Perspective

Pretty good episode about a Girl that can draw the future, but thus far has been able to save lives of those that she draws. Too bad the writers didn't keep her around for future story arcs. Would have been a cool addition to the series. The ending with Olivia and Nina, I suspect that she is playing Nina by using the "you're the only Mother I've got" statement in an effort to keep her closer so that she can find out what is really going on with her and Massive Dynamics.

Making Angels

It's about f ucking time! After 3 1/2 seasons, they FINALLY give Astrid (Jasika Nicole) a meaty role where she gets to interact with her counterpart from the Alternate universe. I thought she did an amazing job her and hope they are going to open up her role even more. What's kinda weird is the nonchalant reaction everyone has being around their twin, especially Walter, who is now starting to warm up to Alternate Olivia.

Welcome To Westfield

This one had X-Files written all over it. Seriously, this could have been dropped into any of those seasons and it would have fit perfectly. I really was expecting to see Mulder and Scully show up just around the corner. The twist at the end was not a surprise to me at all. They pretty much told you what was going to happen in the very first scene with Olivia kissing Peter in her dream. So, when it happened at the end, it was like "about fricking time"! There are two things that could be happening here. A) Peter has always been in the right timeline and it's everyone else that's needed to "wake up" to see him as before or B) Olivia is mind-melding with her other parallel-self and gaining HER memories about Peter. The same could be happening with Walter since he went from "I will never help Peter get back to his time" to genuine sadness that Peter is trying to get back "home".
