It looks like Isaiah Mustafa is joining the cast of Nikita as renegade rogue Division agent Cyrus, who in the end helps out Nikita and becomes an ally to her. He's a very cool actor and an even cooler character. Not sure how much we will see of Cyrus. I think it will be more along the lines of how they use Owen. As for the episode in general, it was pretty damn entertaining with a couple of key moments. First off, Nikita calls Amanda on her bluff to kill her and learns the truth about what Amanda's end game is.....to kill those closest to Nikita. We also learn that Sonya is the Mole. Well, one of two Moles. She is only going along with Amanda's plan because she had re-activated her kill chip. Once Birkhoff caught Sonya red-handed did she come clean and name another Mole. Who this 2nd Mole is remains a mystery. I'm beginning to suspect that it's Fletcher. Remember, he was a prisoner of Division at one time and it's not out of line to say that he too didn't have a kill chip implanted inside of him as well.

Damn, it sure took a long time for the show to return from its hiatus, but boy, was it ever worth the wait. The ending gave us our own Luke Skywalker moment when Michael was trapped under a car about to explode. What to do? Have Nikita cut off his hand and make it out of dodge before it go Ka-Boom!! That's what a cliffhanger is suppose to do. Overall, the episode was kick ass from start to finish, but I certainly didn't see the end coming for sure. I'm surprised they killed off Amanda's little henchman, er...woman so soon. I thought she would be around for much longer. As for Sonya, I was also certain that even if Birkhoff was able to disable the kill-chip in her head that there would be a secondary chip to go off. Guess not.

Aftermath

With what happened in the previous episode, I figured this would be an episode devoted entirely on Michael as he deals with the aftermath of losing his hand in the line of fire. Naturally, he takes it out on Nikita, more or less blaming her for what happened to him. With him now being benched from field work, that leaves the door open for Owen. My guess is this will also be the chance for the writers to explore Owen's feelings to Nikita and bring in another obstacle against Michael as Owen and Nikita could possible end up growing closer to each other as time goes on.

Survival Instincts

Kind of an 'off' episode that really didn't deliver. It was definitely a throw-away episode given the fact that the mission came and went, hunting down a rogue Division Agent. I did find it pretty lame that highly "skilled" Agents, along with Sean would get picked off that easily. Anyway, the ending was the most intriguing with Birkhoff telling Nikita that he may know how Michael can get his hand back. My guess is that they are going to have to make a deal with the devil herself: Amanda, as she is probably the only connection to whoever the scientist is that can give him what Michael wants.

Brave New World

And so it begins. I've been wondering and waiting for when that moment would come where Division would be asked to carry out a Kill Mission. Well, that time is now and Fletcher didn't even blink twice upon hearing the order given. So now the President of the United States wants a "few" more Kill Missions in place. I expected the reaction from Nikita and the rest of the gang to be negative. And I knew that Fletcher's reaction would be more stoic as it's doing his "duty" for the US. My guess is that by the end of the season, he will be totally consumed by the power at his finger tips and will morph into Percy 2.0.

Black Badge

A pretty "simple" episode and mission. All that is required is to "kill" off Sean, extract him from Federal custody and then initiate him into Division officially. Easy peasy! As simple as the plot was for this one, it was incredible exciting and entertaining. After Sean is framed for the murder of the CIA Director, by Amanda no less, it's up to Sean to sign off on making the world think he is no longer of this Earth. I will give the writers props in totally fooling me on one of their Agents. I actually thought the Blond Agent would end up as an ally for Nikita and the rest of Division. Turns out she was working with Amanda to facilitate the frame job. Well players writers, well played.

I'm still not entirely convinced that Ari and Amanda are on the outs. Sure, they set it up that one betrayed the other, which sent Ari running straight to Division for protection. The entire time he was getting his ass kicked by Nikita, I kept waiting for the reveal when we see what his really motivation was, along with Amanda. It never came. So, it looks like Ari is now working with Division to provide Intel. But, like I said, I'm still not convinced. This could just be a slow burn to get everyone to believe in the lie. Not sure what to make of the blood drop at the very end. Is Michael's hand bleeding or is that related to something else that I didn't pick up on earlier in the episode? Not sure.

Reunion

Frickin' awesome episode! There are a bunch of reasons why I loved this episode, but where to start? I guess I will start from the beginning. That's as good a place as any to start from. Having 2 players from Lost show up and sharing scenes together was cool, even if neither shared any scenes together on Lost itself. It was still a trip to see Andrew Divoff and Dylan Minnette together. Who are they? Well Divoff played Mikhail and Minette played David Shephard. But that's another series all together, so lets stay on point here.

Both played a big role in this episode when Ari's Son (Minnette) is the target of Amanda. But standing in her way is Amon Krieg (Divoff), the man that is paid by Ari to protect the boy at any cost. Enter Nikita and Alex who are there to rescue the boy. Of course, Krieg doesn't know that Nikita is working with Ari. He can't trust anyone now. So, what should one do in a situation like this? Take both Nikita and Amanda hostage and threaten to torture both for information. And there's your long-awaited 'Reunion' between Nikita and Amanda. It was fun and we learned that the one that trained...er, turned Amanda into a "Monster" was her father. So she says.

Loved the twist at the end. Even I fell for it thinking that Nikita has shown up just in the nick of time to rescue Alex from police custody only to reveal that it was Amanda doing the "rescuing". Can't wait to see what happens next now that Alex is her hostage.
