I first heard about this series at Comic Con. There were a bunch of hotties waking the floor wearing the classic stewardess outfits. I just thought that they were doing cosplay. That is until I followed them back to the Pan Am booth. Ha.

I'm going to check this out.  I don't see it lasting more than one season, but I am intrigued.

Pilot

I don't think they could have come up with a better name for the Pilot episode of this series.  ;D I was really skeptical of what this show would have to offer, let alone hold my interest. But this was a pretty good episode taking on a very cinematic feel to it. It doesn't feel like a show but more like a mini movie. Fantastic music to mark the times. I'm still unsure how to describe what the show is just based off the premiere. But what did come to my mind while watching it, it was like The Playboy Club...30,000 feet in the air.

A lot of flashbacks for most of the crew during the maiden flight of the newest Pan Am plane. I think that the hook will be that one of the stewardess will be used as a FBI/MI6 contact, or spy to keep tabs on certain passengers of interest.

I will stick around for a few more episodes to see where this goes.

I have this show on dvr right now.  I am giving it a shot, but I am not sold on the premise.  Mainly I am just turned on by that walk the stewardesses do as they go by.  They should bring back those outfits, they were awesome!  I have two episodes to see and that will let me know if I want to stay tuned.

We'll Always Have Paris

How could Laura not see that coming regarding her Mother bringing her ex-fiance Greg to Paris in an ambush to get them back together? I saw that coming a mile away. I wasn't expecting Bridget to pop up at all later in the episode. I just assumed that she had been whacked or something. And the bigger shock was not her returning, but in the fact that she was the one that recommended Kate to take over her spot as the liaison with the secret agents.

Christina Ricci. For someone that has top billing on the show, she has surprisingly very little to do. I thought she was going to be the main character, which she is not. That honor seems to be going to everyone else on the show.

Ich Bin Ein Berliner

That was a great episode all around and they finally gave Christina something to do, where her character's prime objective is to meet John F. Kennedy. The entire episode centers around JFK's historic speech in Berlin, which opened up Karine Vanasse character of Colette. There's a lot of turmoil with her having to return to Germany when it wasn't long ago that she had to flee from the Nazi. When she sings, it was damn powerful.

Watching this episode, this series, reminds me of watching The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles in which the main character(s) seemingly cross paths with historic moments in time, which isn't a bad thing. I like it.

I got bored of this show after 20 minutes.  I stopped watching it and have no interest in picking it back up.

Well, after the past episode, I do have hope that it's looking to get stronger from here on out.. I like it anyway.

Eastern Exposure

Not much happened here other than highlighting back story regarding Ted's quest to get into the space race, only to be cut off at the knees by his own father, who refuses to help him get back into the Navy. One thing I don't understand or get is, why does the Government even wants to use Kate as it's spy? I'm sure there are hundreds of other, more qualified "spies" they could use. One's that don't continually phuck things up.

Also of interest to me the ending regarding the landing of the plane. Up till this episode, I can't recall ever seeing a TV show or movie dealing with landing in crosswinds. So it was interesting to see just how much sway the plane has in a crosswind. The amount of swaying during the landing has convinced me never to go on a plane again. I know it's a common thing when flying, but seeing it was a little unnerving.
