Come Blow Your Horn

Just like last week, this isn't a bad episode, but more of a stall tactic to keep the story from moving forward. Really don't like the fact that I have wasted two weeks watching basically the same thing with no outcome. The fact that they ended it as they did kinda p*sses me off because for whatever reason, the writers are dragging this on. Come on! F*ck!

Everyone Says I Love You

I think I already mentioned it in an earlier post, but Aaron Pittman's story-line is by far the most interesting and it's completely dominating the rest of the show. So much so that characters that once were the driving force of the series are kind of starting to look like secondary characters.....especially that of Charlie. She was suppose to be the 'breakout star', the one that would have guys panting after. Well, she hardly seems like she has anything to do on the show anymore. I think once they killed off her brother, he mission in a way was fullfilled. But I certainly expected more from the character as a whole.

Back to Aaron. So now they have given the nano-tech a face.....literally a little boy's face, one that only he can communicate with. To other's, he will come off looking like a schizophrenic, talking to empty space. Interesting how he can command the "boy" to kill, but he can't get him to save the life of Cynthia. Very good and very entertaining episode.

Three Amigos

Glad to see Revolution back. I actually missed it during it's hiatus. And I'm also glad that they are starting to do something with Kim Raver's character. She really wasn't on the show all that much prior to the nukes and when she was, it was more of a 'June Cleaver' role. Since being found by Tom, she has clearly worked her way up the food chain and now she is cold, heartless and ruthless and seems to be getting off on pushing Tom's buttons. Not sure where it's going, but it has suddenly gotten very interesting. I did enjoy seeing Monroe reunited with his long lost son and it only confirmed to me that he hasn't changed at all, especially with his 'Darth Vader' moment when he tries to convince his son to take over the Republic with him. All that was missing was "together we can rule the galaxy as father and son".  ;D

Episode was just okay for me. Kind of another 'holding pattern' episode that is used to set up something bigger down the road. With Charlie and Gramps, they learn that they are about to be hit with a Typhus outbreak. And with Monroe rescuing his son, they begin their plot to get back his Republic Army, which obviously won't sit well with Miles and company.

Captain Trips

This one was fun. Kind of hard to imagine an episode being fun, especially one that is centered around a deadly virus outbreak, but this one was. Once it's learned that the Patriots are actually targeting specific types of people to be susceptible to the disease, it's just a question of how they can find the antidote. Stabbing the Captain with an infected syringe was something I saw coming a mile away. I've seen it done countless times in other shows as well as movies and it still works. The Mexican standoff at the end has me impatiently waiting for next weeks episode. I like the back story involving Tom and his wife in their efforts to save Jason. The flashback scenes were particularly good in fleshing out their characters and how they ended up using their wits over brawn in getting what they needed.

Happy Endings

Nice little Heist setup going on. Too bad it doesn't have the desired results. Sets up next weeks episode, pitting Monroe against his son in what appears to be "Thunderdome". I wonder what is up Charlie's sleeve. Gotta be something at work there if she is willing to sleep with Monroe's son. What it is, I have no idea.

Fear and Loathing

The most interesting about this episode is the final shot in which Aaron is "teleported" back in time (before the blackout). Well, who really knows. It could be the entire series takes place in the past and he woke up from a "dream" and is remembering what will happen in the future. Or, everything does in fact take place in the future (where the story has been riding for 2 seasons) and is indeed transported back in time. Either way, he does remember the nano tech. Very interesting. The third option would be that the Nano is f*cking with his head for trying to shut down and kill the AI. Beyond that, this was just an okay episode for me. Even having Charlie "dressed to kill" was kind of weak. For whatever reason, they don't want to put her in anything remotely sexy, even if the scene calls for it.

Dreamcatcher

Awesome episode. Shortly after I posted my review from last weeks episode, I kinda figured out that it would in fact be the nanotech manipulating Aaron into believing a new reality. Sure enough, that's exactly what we get in this episode. I even liked that they threw in the Matrix inside-joke too, because it was basically just that. Pretty suspenseful hour which also gave us a chance to see some familiar faces that are no longer on the show. Zeljko Ivanek had a nice big return as one of the 'Bad' nano-tech trying to get Aaron to fix the code. They even brought back Daniella Alonso. Unfortunately, all she got was a cameo. They should have done something more with her instead of just having Aaron bump into her on the street. The ending was pretty good too. I knew that the Nano would have one last trick to get Aaron to fix the code. Saw it coming a mile away. But it was still fun.
