Ringer premieres on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. It's Sarah Michelle Gellar. This automatically makes me have to give this a shot.

Pilot

The first half of the episode was pretty blah and I think the creators of the show dropped the ball big time by not showing Bridget witnessing the murder and seeing first hand the danger she is in.  It would have gone a long ways to adding to the tension of her making some pretty bold choices, like assuming her sisters identity. Instead, we are left to just assume he is a really bad guy and that her life is in danger.

I went out of my way to avoid any kind of spoilers for the series because I knew it was going to be a mystery. So, regarding Siobhan...

Spoiler (hover to show)

After a ho-hum first half, the last 20 minutes introduced plenty of twist to definitely keeping me around for the foreseeable future, Not sure how they will extend this beyond this season, because if they do that, it becomes almost like The Fugitive in a way. The last half of the episode more than made up for the first half for sure.

I am enjoying the show so far, but mainly because Sarah Michelle Gellar is able to deliver on her character(s) in every scene.  I will keep tuning in to see where this goes.  I also wonder about the longevity of this show.

She's Ruining Everything

Ringer keeps throwing me curve balls left and right. For example, the entire episode I'm telling myself that we know no one will find the body that Bridget is hiding in plain sight, but the tension is there that someone could find it and ruin everything, but deep down we all know that no one will and that Bridget will be able to dispose of the body by the end of the episode. So what happens? Somebody finds it. Bah! But who? My guess is that it's Kristoffer, who would do anything to win back Siobhan, including getting rid of the body and keeping her secret for her.

Yup. Curve balls!!! Digging the show more and more with every episode. Also, now it makes sense why Jaime Murray (Olivia Charles) left Warehouse 13 and is reduced to a cameo on that series.

Well, you were wrong.  I do think that Ringer is a great little show, but I don't know how long it will last.  Eventually the real Siobhan will run out of money and need to get her identity back, plus she's the one that is actually pregnant.  There are still stories that haven't been told yet.  For example, what happened to Siobhan's son, Sean?  Who was the father of that kid?  Who is ordering the hit on her?  I think it was the husband, because at one point he made the call that he didn't want to go through with "it" but only after he found out Siobhan was pregnant.  And doesn't Bridget need to get some action going with the hubby to prove that she actually IS pregnant?  Thing will go array pretty soon here if she doesn't.

You Ever Want A French Lesson

Things are starting to get interesting now that Siobhan / "Bridget" knows she is preggo which will of course force her to return to the States sooner, rather than later. Score one for Bridget / "Siobhan" for turning the tables on her stalker by using the threat of the FBI to back off. She's a crafty little bugger. Doesn't look all rosy for her though, especially now that her Sponser/Boyfriend is up Hero*n creek with Bodaway Macawi sticking the needle in him, which he will of course use this to leverage more dope for the whereabouts of Bridget.

Also, something tells me that Victor Machado (Nestor Carbonell) FBI partner isn't what he claims to be. He is definitely on Bodaway's payroll. Even though he had a small role here, I can feel that his role will become bigger and more pronounced down the road. Just a gut feeling.

It's Gonna Kill Me, But I'll Do It

I wasn't expecting Gemma to find out about the affair so soon into the season. And now Machado knows that Bridget / "Siobhan" is lying about having contact with Bridget. Seems everything is unraveling pretty quickly now that Bridget has confessed to Gemma who she really is. Also left in the dark is exactly what Siobhan / "Bridget" end game is. This is turning out to be my favorite new show of the season.

Yeah, I thought the ruse would go on for much longer.  I really really like the show, but I am wondering about the sustainability of the storyline.

Only way I can think of is that both Sisters kill someone at the end (Season Finale) and have to go on the lam or something like that. Otherwise this really is a one and done type of storyline. But if the ratings are there, the CW will definitely be bringing it back.
