Behind The Candelabra
Apparently HBO did well and hit the mark with
Behind the Candelabra. I'm not seeing it the same. Simply, I find Michael Douglas as flamboyant gay entertainer very unbelievable. It's really a first I think to sit a watch and actor who I've seen over and over in movies and then to watch him 'act' as Liberace. Matt Damon was not as flamboyant, but I found that distracting and unbelievable too.
I found Liberace's act very dated and just wonder how he became a star with his act and jokes. I barely remember him. I may have seen him on Ed Sullivan or The tonight Show. Nonetheless, I didn't think much then, and don't think much now.
But apparently Liberace did make an impression and lots of people have nostalgia for him.
I quit after some time. It just didn't interest me.
