Ridley Scott, Tony Scott Team For Four-Hour A&E Event: “Coma”!

Quote
Out of left field A&E Network announced “Coma,” a four-hour epic two-night event from Ridley and Tony Scott featuring a multiple Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning cast with Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”), Steven Pasquale (“Rescue Me”), Geena Davis, James Woods, Ellen Burstyn, and Richard Dreyfuss. “Coma,” a modern day retelling of the bestselling novel by Robin Cook and based on the film by Michael Crichton, premieres on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd, and concludes on Tuesday, September 4th, airing at 9PM ET/PT on both nights.

Coma also stars James Rebhorn (“Law & Order,” “White Collar”), Joe Morton (“The Good Wife”), Michael Weston (“House”), and Joseph Mazello (“The Pacific,” The Social Network). Emmy Award winner Mikael Salomon (“Band of Brothers”) directs the John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan) penned script.

“‘Coma’ is a thriller about a young doctor (Ambrose) who discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital after routine procedures send more than a few seemingly healthy patients into comas on the operating table.”

I remember NOTHING about the movie. Just the image of the Poster. Having said that, with Ridley's name attached, I will definitely be tuning in for this.

If we add this news to the calendar, will it act like Outlook and pop up to remind us that day(s)?

I tried doing that for the Penny Can Birthday announcement and couldn't get it to work or if it was even a possibility. I will check with the software guy and see what he has to say.

Agreed.

This is stacked with some BIG names. Really cool to see Lauren Ambrose in something. It's been awhile since I've seen her any anything.

I'm an hour into the show and not impressed one bit. This feels like and has the tension of Greys Anatomy, meaning none.

Reading a bulk of reviews, this is not worthy of 3 hours. The final payoff is not worth it.

Gina Davis looks absolutely horrible. I just had to note that. So far the biggest surprise to me on this show.

Coma looks no different than all the other shows, so that makes me think, the Scott brothers were there in name only.

I will finish tonight, but unless a lot happens, I won't be wasting my time with the rest of it.

PS: what the hell happened to A&E with all the reality shows? I see nothing but really stupid reality shows. Hog wars? Texas pawn wars? I don't know... It looks stupid.

Hog Wars that is.
