Finally getting into this. I'm liking it. Obviously, I can't help but make comparisons to Battlestar Galactica since the whole "Reconstruction of the government" was a big thing in that series as well.
It's really funny to see Kiefer Sutherland to play a more soft-spoken type of character than Jack Bauer... I had forgotten how soothing his voice is, I could listen to him pontificate.
Can I also say that I think that the premise is kind of genius, not just as a gripping conceit, but also explains the scope of the show. Obviously it doesn't have the budget and resources of The West Wing or House Of Cards, it can't have those big casts or even as many sets, but having it just be those survivors makes it work. Of course there's only, like, four people on staff that speak, of course!
Season 2 dropped (Netflix picked it up because it did well overseas) and I'm curious to see how the show changes... I somehow doubt that they dropped insane piles of cash on it, but I imagine the long form storytelling changed.
