From Dusk Till Dawn TV Series - Trailer #2

I had no idea this was even in the works, let alone being shot with a trailer. A second trailer at that. Very interested to see what this is (and isn't).

Anyone else getting this channel through their cable provider? I'm not.

Netflix has picked up the first season...

The wife and I started to watch this.... And really enjoying it. She doesn't remember anything from the movie. I remember pretty much everything. The production value is top notch. Right now, minimal special effects, but when it does happen, it's as it should be, unnoticeable.

How to explain this? From what I see, Rodriquez has taken the original movie script and broadened it quite a bit. You see re-enacments from the movie, but then the series fills in all this gaps diving further into characters, places and the vampire myth. Believe me, there is a lot of new material.

D.J. Cotrona as Seth Gecko does an amazing job emulating George Clooney's character. Zane Holtz as Richie is way more detailed than from the movie.

I wouldn't even know how to find the El Rey channel.  If you have it, you probably have a thousand other channels... at which point it becomes useless noise.

So we are on Ep. 7 of 10. The Gecko Brothers and the family are in the Ti tty Twister. I was surprised to see a little bit of nudity. But they are not holding back on the blood bath of the vampire attack.

It was funny, the earlier episode was them transition from traveling to stopping at the Twister. My wife forgot how weird it gets. I looked at her at the beginning of ep. 7, NOW, it’s going to get weird. “Now it’s going to get weird? It got weird already.”

When they re-created Salma Hayek’s table dance, this woman is just as beautiful. The very cool thing this time is her white boa has a head on each end. Bee-zare. And Tito and the Trantula’s perform again during the dance, After Dark, but this time all in Spanish and they added a violin. It is awesome.

So, with the film at this point, it’s pretty much full bore vampire attack. It will be interesting to see how they handle 3 more episodes.

And I just found out they are signed up for season two with 13 episodes. I’m thinking or should I say hoping, like American Horror Story, they erase the chalkboard and start new.

I would think that Season 2 would just chronicle the Gecko Brothers after the events of the Movie/Season 1. Unless as you suggest that they will end up following another group of characters that wind up back at the  T i t t y  Twister.

I was suggesting a whole other story.

Now remember, only Seth and Kate survive the night. I guess it could continue with those two.
