Episode 5
Viper

This wasn't a bad episode. I think the problem I'm having with Gotham right now has to do with the fact that 4 episodes in it's feeling a little too much like a 'Monster-of-the-week' set up, even if that isn't the case. By nature, all comic books rely on this type of set up, but it doesn't neccessarly work on a series because it gets old really fast. A prime example of how to do it right is The X-Files. Everyone wants their mythology episodes because that was the meat and bones. But when we didn't get our conspiracy stuff, that's when the 'Monsters' episode were a nice break. Right now, Gotham is doing the opposite of that. As I said, its only 4 episodes in. I will say that they finally did something right by getting Bruce Wayne out of the house as he investigates his own company and how it is being run. We see his detective side being born by his headstrong desire to read and re-read all the information he has about Wayne Enterprises. I like how Alfred thinks that what he is doing is unhealthy and by the final scene he has joined him in his crusade.

I just hope this is the start of where they push Bruce more to the forefront and start having him explore Gotham and running into Selina, Ivy and whoever else they have on deack. It's gonna make the series better for the viewers that are sticking with the show. But as of right now, I say without question that Arrow is outpacing Gotham by a mile.
