Pilot
Out of all the new shows premiering this season,
Legends has been near the top of 'must-see-TV' for me for a couple of reasons. For starters, it has the man behind
24, Homeland and the hugely underrated
Awake, overseeing the series.
Howard Gordon has yet to disappoint me. Another reason that I had to tune it was over course
Sean Bean. He's great in everything he has done. So, before watching a single frame of the
Pilot, I had built this up to high and unrealistic expectations. The episode isn't bad, but the first 3/4 of the episode was blowing up my skirt. I was expecting to at least get something on par with a typical episode of
24. It's not until the last 10 minutes does it pretty much lay out what the series will be about. But I can already see people complaining that they are basically going down the road already taken by Jason Bourne by having
Martin Odum (Bean) who doesn't 'know who he is'. It looks like someone or the government has wiped his memory and this kicks off Martin's quest. The Pilot was a bit slow at times, but there is a huge amount of potential here. I'm definitely on board for the time being. I have faith the show will become what I want it to be. Doesn't hurt that
Ali Larter and
Tina Majorino are also on board as well.
