iZOMBIE - Rose McIver, Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero-Wright Interview - Comic Con 2014

I've never read the comic book series and was only marginally aware it existed. But the reason why I'm giving this a chance is because Rob Thomas' name is attached. You all know that Veronica Mars is one of my all time favorite series, not to mention that I'm a huge Buffy fan as well. So, saying iZOMBie is a cross between both series is pretty much guaranteeing that my ass will be in front of the TV for this. I hope the series lives up to the hype and the unique premise. It sound very promising.

iZombie - First Look Trailer

This has CW all over it. This alone will make people not watch it because of the look and feel of most CW shows. I for one think this looks good and has potential. Just don't expect to see anything on the scale of TWD because it's not going to happen nor is it meant to.

Sorry if you guys were waiting for any episode reviews. I just didn't have the time to do it, but that doesn't mean I wasn't watching the series week to week. I was, and it has been a blast. Season 1 kicked ass and it was more than I had hoped the series to be. iZOMBIE is a mixture of Veronica Mars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a little bit of the Walking Dead. This series, being spearheaded by Rob Thomas isn't shy about tapping into Veronica Mars and it works extremely well. The humor in the dialogue is clearly the work of Rob.

Just got finished with the Season Finale bandit was fantastic. I particularly liked how Major's story arc ramped up in this episode with him going all 'Rick Grimes' on the Zombies. I wasn't expecting it to get as "bloody" as it does. Well, this is the CW, so there was creative editing....but still more than expected. The ending was great as well because Olivia had to make a choice in saving her brother with a blood transfusion, which of course would mean turning him into a Zombie. She made the right call. You guys definitely need to check this one out. It's a fun show to watch and all the characters are interesting right out of the gate. Really happy to hear that the show was renewed for a 2nd season, which I expected. I give Season 1 4 1/2 Stars.
