Ragtag seems to have taken a huge chunk of pages from Arrow, especially with the flashback set up of Agent Ward and again with the Deathlok Army. Now this isn't a bad thing, but it does draw attention to itself in a big way since Arrow is basically using the same story line. Actually, they have a leg up in that department since the episodes have aired prior to SHIELD. As I said, it's not a bad thing as I'm enjoying the series immensly. I like that half of this episode was devoted to Agent Ward origin and how he came to be and how his past connects to John Garrett.

Arrow uses flashbacks in every episode to flesh out the back story. Up till now, there hasn't been a flashback-heavy episode and the story involving Agent Ward was very good. The other similarity in set up has to do with amassing an Army of Super soldiers. In Arrow it's Deathstroke Army where everyone looks like the Original with their mask. In SHIELD, it's the Deathlok Army where everyone has their Infrared Eye. Overall, I really dug this episode. Some very funny moments as well, especially Coulson and May dressing up and acting like Fitz and Simmons. Powerful scene involving Fitz and Simmons pleading for Ward to come back to the 'Good side' as he dumps them off in the ocean. Big reveal in announcing that Skye may be a human / alien hybrid and that Garrett was and is the first incarnation of Deathlok. Can't wait to watch the Season Finale.
