Episode 1
This Is War

I was really looking forward to the Season Premiere because of the cataclysmic events of what went down at the end of Season 1. I didn't know how they would pick up from there and I will say that when This Is War started, I was thrown for a loop as it looked like they had jumped story wise into the future a bit. Nope. I was wrong. It literally picks up right where we left off and the entire episode was all about getting back to present day reality. People we thought were dead were able to come back, namely Jenny Mills and it's up to Crane to find a way to save and bring back Abbie from Purgatory. There were so many twist and turns and red herrings that I was continually lost and it was great. Not predictable at all. I love that the entire story hinged on Ben Franklin and THE key, which was vital in unlocking purgatory. Nice touch. Epic episode that played more like a Season Finale than a Season Premiere. Going to be tough to top this one.

Episode 2
The Kindred

The more I watch Sleepy Hollow, the more it reminds me that they have used the idea of National Treasure as a blueprint in some way. You take historical figures from Americana and then give them a major twist in their backstory and  watch the awesomeness manifest itself and they are really going to town with the revelation that Benjamin Franklin had tried unsucessfully in creating his own Frankenstein Monster. So, the whole point of this episode is that Crane and Abbie want to take Benji's creation further in bringing to life it's own Soldier to battle the Headless Horseman. Abbie has dubbed thee.......Franklinstein's Monster!!! Hahahahahahaha. Awesome!

Episode 3
Root of All Evil

Cool episode. They kind of took a page from Lord of the Rings with regards to possessing an item that turns people evil. Much in the same way that Gollum became corrupted by the ring, those who possess 1 of 30 Coins from Crane's time pretty much suffer the same fate. They ended up retrieving the first coin and it looks like the rest of the season (or series) will revolve around finding the other 29 coins. Totally dig how they used the history of the coins to explain why Benedict Arnold turned into a traitor. It was the damn coin!!!!

Episode 4
Go Where I Send Thee...

Very cool episode focusing on the history of the Pied Piper.....or one of them anyway. As I said before, I really like the "historical" connection that derive off of in telling their modern day story. The Piper himself looked super creepy and the blazing speed was a nice touch.  Having Abbie the one to deliver the killing blow to him was a nice touch. Love watching Crane adapting to his Present Day world. Watching him becoming addicted to Lattes was priceless.

Episode 5
The Weeping Lady

Solid, but not perfect. I thought The Weeping Lady character was done perfectly. Loved the effect. But the best thing about this one was the fact that there is no a crack in the relationship between Crane and his wife Katrina when we learn that she was responsible from the death of the The Weeping Lady and kept that secret from Crane. I know they have a "love" that stretched across time, but am I the only one that expects (and wants) to see that Crane and Abbie end up together? They have great chemistry on the show.....far more than what Crane and Katrina have. It's only natural to want to see the two leads get together.

Episode 17
Awakening

Episode 18
Tempus Fugit

Yeah, I'm still watching Sleepy Hollow. But a good chunk of the season was very uneven and at times boring. It was enough to not care to even write anything about what was going on. Season 1 was great, Season 2 was a sophomore slump and it showed. With that said, the finale two episodes were great, especially the season finale which had Abbie being transported back in time....back to the Revolutionary War and it was awesome to see how she dealt with being the fish out of water that Crane has been for two seasons. You can't help but think of Back to the Future. Hell, they even made a joke about it in the previous episode. Who knew that the joke was really a precursor to what was coming. The season ended on a strong note, killing off both Henry and Katrina was a bold move to make. But in this supernatural thriller, is anyone really ever dead? Strong finish, but is it enough that FOX brings it back for a 3rd Season? I'm not sure.
