If you're into the game aspect, then no, this isn't for you. It appears Naked and Afraid is just raw survival.

I myself do not care for game shows... at all. So a reality game show is even lower on my list.

The only 'game' show I would watch is "Who's Line", but let's be real, there's no gaming. Just make people laugh.

It's My Night

And the winner is....

...Tyson. I picked him early on in the game to win, but as soon as I said that, I immediately said to myself it wouldn't happen because he was the biggest threat and would have the biggest target on his back. So, I figured that if the women on the show would be smart to mobilze together that it would be very likely that we would have an all-female Top 3. Didn't happen. As for the eventual Top 3 that included Tyson, Gervase and Monica, I was completely 100% undecided in who would come out as top dog. It was so evenly matched, by my perception, that I figured that everyone would get at least 1 or 2 votes each. That too didn't happen. With the exception of Monica getting one lone vote, it was pretty much a landslide victory for Tyson as he got the rest.

Even though I didn't think Monica deserved to win, I knew that she would get a sympathy vote or two based strictly on the waterworks she had going full force during Tribal Council. I can't recall anyone crying that much for the amount of time she did, all in the hopes it would sway the jury. Tyson's tears I believe were genuine at first, but the moment he decided to "wipe" away his tears was so fake. That is a man trying to sell it to the jury and it showed. But hey, it worked. He won. I think the most surprising thing was seeing that Gervase didn't get a single vote. Wow. Anyway, congrats to Tyson and overall, this season was another good one in a long line of great seasons for the series.

One last thing, I'm surprised (kinda) at how civil the Jury Tribal Council was. What has become synonymous with Survivor when Jury Members get to ask questions to the Final 3, there is always one or two members that just rip into someone because they got "f*cked over" by someone during the game and have so much anger that it boils over during Tribal Council. Even though there were a couple of blindsides this season, there was never a moment where I said to myself "I can't wait for the finale to see such and such responds". I knew in a way that Tribal Council would in fact be civil.

Live Reunion Show

As far as Reunion Shows go, this was somewhat lackluster and a lot of that had to do with what I talked about in my last review. Civility. Since there really was no drama this season, it made this episode uneventful. But drama I'm referring to backstabbing and vindictiveness toward other players. There were a couple of things during the Reunion Show that confirms what I already knew: Colton and Kat are just dumb. I'm talking about low IQ dumb. Really not sure what their significant others see in them. Please never allow either one to ever grace the show again. Give the spot to more deserving people. The bombshell of the night of course was the revelation about Tina and Katie losing a member of their family (Tina's son, Katie's brother). That was and is very sad. Very courageous for the both of them to still show up for the Reunion Show to help them grieve. My heart goes out to both of them.

Blood Vs. Water

Overall, Season 27 gets 4 Stars out of 5. Very entertaining season for sure.
