Dude, I implore to watch Arrow as soon as possible. The first episode of Season 3 that aired last night STUNNED me!!! I wanna say more, but you are going to have to earn it by watching everything leading up to it. It's well worth it!!!! I totally like the idea that the explosion that gave Flash his powers will also give other people their own types of powers as well. No idea if that is what actually happens in the comics or not....but I approve it for the TV series.

I don't know the comic book origin of the flash and really dont care. I like the changes -the walking dead- being the first to come to mind that are made. The one thing I did not care for the changes in X-men days of future past. Just make another wolverine movie. I know I said it in the other post but the origin was great. Everyone that "gained" a power doesn't have to be bad either.

Arrow is def on my radar will get to it soon.

Episode 2
Fastest Man Alive

I'm not sure if that Villain that can multiply into more copies of himself is a DC Character or one that was created for the show, but the final fight where Barry takes on what appears to be thousands was kind cool. It reminded me of the scene in the third Matrix film when Neo takes on all Agent Anderson. As I said before, the FX are really good on this show. Is it me, but are they kinda making
Iris West the "Peter Parker" the show now that she is tracking the Flash like a reporter? It's like she will serve the same function as Parker does. I haven't read any Flash comics since the days of Humberto Ramos was doing the art and that was something like 20 years ago, so my knowledge of the character is very limited as I don't remember much from that run.

Episode 3
Things You Can't Outrun

We are three episodes into the season and one of the things that I find kind of cool is that each episode opens and closes with Barry Allen's voice over. You know, "My name is Barry Allen......". This is a direct lift from Arrow where Oliver Queen does the same thing. Kinda cool to tie both shows together like that. Even though we don't see any big crossovers between the two (yet), this voice over does make it a unified universe. I liked The Mist villain. The FX looked phenomenal. I knew that the character existed in the DC Universe, so that meant they couldn't really do away with him as they have the last two villains. This leads them to creating a makeshift Prison beneath Star Labs. Will be fun to see who they catch and put inside to join The Mist.

Episode 4
Going Rouge

This episode is a prime example of why this show can really turn out to be a fun series to watch. Granted, there will come a time where the creators of The Flash are going to want to stand on their own without the benefit of guest stars. But for now, we just gotta enjoy it while it last. So, it was definitely cool to see another cameo from Arrow, this time in the form of Felicity. It wasn't just a cameo, but a sizable addition to the plot of the episode. Also cool was seeing Wentworth Miller. I haven't seen him since Prison Break ended it's run a few years back. He is definitely going to be a recurring character playing Captain Cold. Kind of like Mr. Freeze. Loved the nod to Christopher Reeve's Superman: The Movie (intentional or not) with the Flash running at full speed, yelping as Felicity looked on from inside the train.

Episode 5
Plastique

Last week, I mentioned the nod to Superman: The Movie but was unclear if this was intentional or not. After tonight's episode, I'm more than convinced that the writers are purposely giving a shout out to the greatest Superhero movie of all time. In Plastique, there is a scene that takes place on a rooftop / patio between Iris West and The Flash where she is meeting him for the first time and conducting an interview, trying to understand who and what he is and why he is doing what he is doing. They definitely took a page from Superman: The Movie using Lois Lane interviewing Superman on a rooftop / Patio. Really cool to see Clancy Brown pop up. Looks like it will be a recurring character that has a past with Dr. Harrison Wells and are at odds with each other now.

I do like the direction the series is taking adding the Clancy Brown caricature I feel is a good thing, an ongoing bad guy if you will.

Totally agree. Kinda wanted the same thing on Lost and Sleepy Hollow, but that didn't happen. Hopefully there is a longer run on this one.

Props to Stephen Amell for calling out DC Entertainment on their poor timing of announcing the film version of The Flash, which kind of undermines what Grant Gustin's is doing with the series. Even though it's a different version/character of the Flash, I agree with Amell in that it was and is a dickish move. I like that Amell is willing to call people out and has Gustin's back.

Episode 6
The Flash Is Born

Very cool episode with a cool villain that introduced the character of Tony Woodward. He can change from human into that of a Metal dude. Just think along the lines of Colossus or even the T-1000 if you need a frame of reference. I thought the entire episode was great and the face off between him and Barry at the end was worth the wait. But I will say that it was odd that Barry literally had to run a Mach 1 speed to be able to even make a "dent" in Tony as he was indestructible and yet Iris was able to knock him out with her little girly hand and only suffer a mild sprain. Other than that, it was good.

Episode 7
Power Outage

I wasn't expecting to see Tony Woodward in another episode so soon. And I certainly didn't expect them to kill him off either. When he is released to take on Farooq aka Blackout, I figured this was going to be the turning point of where Dr. Harrison Wells would now be able to build an army of baddies that were loyal to him. Nope. Tony got zapped and that's all she wrote. Overall, a solid episode. Now bring on the next episode! Can't wait to see the crossover between The Flash and Arrow. Starts on Tuesday and concludes the next night on Arrow (Dec. 2/3).

Episode 8
Flash vs. Arrow

The long-awaited crossover that everyone has been waiting for was tonight and it was hella fun. The entire episode came across as more of a 'Thank You' to the fans that have made both The Arrow and The Flash a big success. They definitely delivered in a few ways. One thing that always crops up between two comic book geeks is the common question of "Who would win in a fight between Hero X and Hero Z" and that's exactly what tonight's episode was about. It was just a question of how Arrow would end up in the same city of The Flash and what exactly would pushed two friends to the edge to engage in combat. Well, Barry has come to terms with being a modern day hero and is actually feeding off the rush of being a hero. So imagine someone coming into town, with Felicity and Diggle in tow and telling you that what you're doing is going to create more problems than good and that you still need to train. Yeah, Barry's ego got out of hand rather quickly. Throw in a Meta-Human that takes that ego and turns it into rage and you have the beginning of an epic showdown between Flash/Arrow.

I thought the fight itself was awesome. Loved the effects and really dug the pacing and editing of it all. They gave each character a chance to shine in the fight. Cisco may have called it a draw, but it was clear that Arrow got the better of The Flash. If he didn't, then they wouldn't have been able to reverse the Rage factor coursing through him. The final 5 minutes dropped a couple of big bombs in what is to come for both shows. A girl from Ollie's past runs into him, she being the mother of the son he doesn't even know about and second, the return of Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). We get to see him in Firestorm, which was f*cking cool. It was just a tease, but it was enough to get me pumped. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow night on Arrow for 'Part 2'.

MARK HAMILL TO REPRISE TRICKSTER ROLE FOR "THE FLASH"

I've often wondered if Mark Hamil's 'Trickster' character would ever pop up on Flash 2.0. Wonder no more. Hearing that Mark is going to be making an appearance in the new show just made my morning.  Awesome!
