Episode 1
The Man Who Saved Central City

A fantastic Season 2 premiere that picks up 6 months from the events of last seasons finale. I waited a long time to see what exactly would happen as the conclusion. So, I had to waited another 10 minutes into this episode before they did a flashback sequence to wrap things up and we learn how Ronnie was "killed" during the storm. We all know he will return, but it's an interesting way to remove the character from this series and start prepping his return later in Legends of Tomorrow if it doesn't happen on The Flash. The big villain for this episode was Atom Smasher. I wasn't sure it was him at first because he looked and acted more like Bane, albeit in a more toned down version. Well, he didn't last long and was rendered defeated by the end. The nice epilogue to the episode was the arrival of Jay Garrick, the Original Flash from the past. This is gonna be a fun season! One last thing that made this a solid episode was the emotion. Season 1 did a great job of this and they continue the same tradition here. Powerful moment between Barry and his newly-released-from-prison father he says his goodbyes.

Episode 2
Flash of Two Worlds

What a fun episode. This is what I was expecting to get with the arrival of Jay Garrick into Barry's Parallel Earth. What I didn't expect to see is him without his powers and I liked how they were able to improvise at the end to make it appear he still had his Speed. Sand Demon was kinda cool. Too quick of an appearance to really get much out of it though. His character is very similar to that of Sandman. Was wondering how they were going to 'write off' Dr. Martin Stein from The Flash and get him ready for Legends of Tomorrow. Having him drop at the end seems like the start. Best part of the episode was of course the epilogue that took us to Jay's Parallel  Earth and seeing Dr. Harrison Wells. Yay! Did I tell you that this is going to be a fun season?!

Episode 3
Family of Rogues

I like how they are setting up Leonard Snart's eventual turned to becoming a hero. Having Daddy issues and using his sister as a bargaining chip to do his dirty deeds is sure to make anyone want to jump to the good side. He will always have that dark side, but this seems like a very plausible way to get him over to Legends of Tomorrow in an organic way. Seeing Dr. Martin Stein 'Flame On' moment was interesting and unexpected. So, I'm guessing that Ronnie is still inside of him and isn't 'dead', not that I ever expected him to be. But the Blue Flame rather than the typical Yellow Flame is what I find intriguing. The ending was great with Dr. Harrison Wells arriving through the portal from Earth 2.

Episode 4
The Fury of Firestorm

Another great episode for the Comic Book fans tonight (the other being Agents of SHIELD). In this episode it's basically the rebirth of a new Firestorm to replace Ronnie who "died". With Dr. Martin Stein life ebbing away without another half to sustain him, we are introduced to new character Jefferson “Jax” Jackson who becomes his savior and new Firestorm. Even the fight scene to test out his new ability was pretty good too. But it's the ending that I want to talk about. When Barry/Flash is looking at Patty in the coffee shop and we see this MASSIVE hand come into frame and grab Flash by the neck, I thought it was the hand of Grodd at first. In less than a half a second we see that it's Shark Man or whatever he's called. It's an all-CGI creation of what is essentially a Great White Shark in "human form". It looked awesome. The only thing that can top that was the revelation of Dr. Harrison Wells as the man that saves Barry/Flash by shooting Shark Man. Can't wait until next weeks episode.

Episode 5
The Darkness and the Light

Finally we get a full episode with the return of "Dr. Harrison Wells". Well, the Harrison from Earth 2. I like the version from Earth 2 created a device that can detect meta-humans and that this device would eventually reveal Cisco's big secret that he is one himself. Fun episode that ends in a grand way when we finally get to see Zoom, who looks bad ass. I thought it was cool that Dr. Light would be played by the doppelganger of Linda Park which adds a nice wrinkle to things.

Episode 6
Enter Zoom

What a badass episode! Zoom looks f*cking awesome! Zoom reminds me a lot of Black Panther. Same kind of costume and the mask is spot on. The mouth section kind of reminds me of Scarecrow too. I wasn't expecting any kind of confrontation between him and The Flash until the end of the season. So, very surprised to see that they went there just 6 episodes into the season and it was great. I like the Flash, but it was great seeing him getting his ass handed to him so easily by Zoom. Literal rag doll. The fight was great. Also, the episode was funny as hell with Linda trying to pass herself off as Dr. Light and the "fake" fight she had with Flash.

Episode 7
Gorilla Warfare

Gorilla Warfare just might be my favorite episode so far this season. It was great. I want to see more Grodd and that's exactly what we get here. Even better is that the entire episode is really about him so you know that FX team had their work cut out for them as he was going to be on screen for a lot of the time and he looked great. I love how the story line starts out one and then pivots into a homage of King Kong and Ann Darrow with Caitlin stepping into the shows of Fay Wray. We even get the return of "Reverse Flash" and the return of Barry's father. I knew with John Wesley Shipp back in town that he would give another pep talk to Barry and make me get misty eye. Happens every time!! Loved the ending with Grodd ending up in Earth 2 at some Gorilla City. I fully expect Grodd to return back to Earth and be a main catalyst in Zoom's downfall.

Episode 10
Potential Energy

What a long long wait for The Flash to return from its mid-season hiatus and it was worth it. Great f*cking episode and the Special FX looked phenomenal. I'd say it's one of the best thus far for the series. I like the new character of Turtle, the complete opposite of The Flash. But the ending was unclear. Not really sure if Dr. Harrison Wells killed him or not. But I guess it's likely that he jammed a syringe into his nose or whatever you'd call it. Kinda shocked to see that they are writing Patty off the show. Wasn't expecting that at all. I like Shantel VanSanten.

Episode 13
Welcome to Earth-2

Welcome to Earth-2 was a damn good and a damn fun episode to watch. This is the kind of crossover, comic booky story I want to see more of. Having Barry, Cisco and Harry heading to Earth-2 opened up a lot of things. So far we have only experienced the fish-out-of-water angle through the eyes of Harry and Jay. But that hasn't been the same because they are on Earth-1, with nothing changing. But put the characters into Earth-2, thus taking the viewer along for the ride really sells it. All the bad guys from Earth 1 are now good guys on Earth 2, and more deliscious was seeing all the good guys and gals turned evil. Seeing Caitlin, Cisco and Ronnie as Killer Frost, Reverb and Deathstorm was fantastic. The episode had a very good balance between laugh out loud funny moments and teary-eyed poignancy. I'm glad this will go for another episode. Loved the breach at the start of the episode. When you go through it, you "see" alternate things that will happen in the future. The images whiz by so fast and are so distorted, it's hard to make out most of them. But the one thing that I saw as clear as the blue sky was Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). This had me grinning.

Episode 14
Escape From Earth-2

This episode was just as great, if not better than last weeks. I thought Grant was damn funny playing Earth 2's Barry as someone with no self confidence, the complete opposite of what he is on Earth 1. The story was pretty simple in that everyone has to help find and help free The Flash from captivity. Really curious to find out who the mask man is in the opposite cell. I have a good idea of who it is, but I'm not 100% certain. The ending was great with Zoom managing to reach in from the breach and pulling Jay back into Earth 2. I'm guessing this will be a 3 episode arc with Barry going back and rescuing Jay......and the guy in the cell.

Episode 22
Invincible

When they killed off Laurel / Black Canary over on Arrow a few weeks back, I always had it in my mind that this would be reversed with the help of Legends of Tomorrow with their whole Time Travel gimmick and sure enough, it was Sara that was demanding to do just that. To my surprise, they never did and I figured that they would revisit the idea later. For the time being, her demise would be permanent. What I totally forgot was that Earth-2 still had doppelgangers and lo and behold, "Laurel" returns as Black Siren. It was great to see Katie Cassidy back on TV and in my eyes, in a much better role for her. She was good as the Black Canary, but I always preferred Caity Lotz in the role. As Black Siren, she just looks better as a brunette and more importantly, she plays better as a Villain and she can make this own character instead of constantly being compared to Caity's version. I'm down for more of this.

Great episode that finally had John Wesley Shipp and Amanda Pays 'reuniting' on screen for the first time since their own Flash series back in 1990-91. They even set up a possible romance between the two, just like before. But as soon as I saw where they were taking this, it was bad. It was impending doom and sure enough, Zoom arrives and kidnaps him. The final scene has Zoom apparently killing him in front of Barry. They left this as a cliffhanger, but I'm pretty sure that we just saw the last of Barry's father. I hope I am wrong because I really like the relationship they have on the show. It gives the series its heart which is something that would be lacking if they in fact just got rid of him. One last episode left. Can't wait to see what the Season Finale has to offer.
