30 Days Without an Accident
Interesting episode that kinda took me a bit off guard with everything being "serene and idyllic". Well, as happy as one can concievably get in the land of the dead. I think what took me by surprised was how large the cast has gotten. Sure, they are going to become fodder throughout the season, but to see so many people after basically living with the small band of survivors took a bit getting use to. The other thing was, where did all the kids come from? It's just weird seeing any other kid that isn't named Carl.
So, 6-8 months have passed since the end of last season. They have carved out their little community and basically turned the prison into another '
Woodbury'. Speaking of
Woodbury, I'm so glad that place is done. I couldn't stand that place anymore and even better, no
Governor. I think I enjoyed this episode more because of those two things not being featured. Some gnarly looking walking stuff happening in this one, especially the 'Raining Zombies' sequence. What's the deal with that one black dude that was trapped under the shelf massage and feeling inside that walkers head? Is he some sicko that gets off on this? Yuck.
The ending definitely opens up what this season will become. With the kid getting sick and seemingly dropping dead on the spot and then turning to a Walker, I can only imagine what next week's episode will be. Bloody. So, do we have an airborne virus that made him sick? Or is it bad pork that he may have eaten which contaminated him? I only bring up pork because they highlight the pig that dies. Not sure if the two are in fact connected or I miss something else all together.
