Too Far Gone Man, I am royally p*ssed off at the writers of the show. The decision to kill off
Hershel was and is a HORRIBLE decision. Don't care if it's for the "betterment of the story". F*ck that sh*t! In a dark, dark world that is
TWD, having him on the show gives the viewers a ray of light with his moral compass and compassion. The show is just going to get even more bleak than it already is. Beyond losing a great character, we are losing a fantastic actor in
Scott Wilson. I've never been this sad at losing a fictional character from this show. This sucks big time.
As for the rest of the episode, it didn't take long for me to start screaming for the death of the
Governor. As soon as he started his little recruitment speech to "rally the troops", I wanted him dead. What a bunch of sheep's those people are! It didn't take much to convince them to join up, take arms and head off to the prison. Because they were so willing, I wanted them all dead. This episode will be remembered for a lot of things beyond Hershel's swan song. The taking of the Prison was another big moment in the series, the brutal fight between
Rick and the
Governor and of course
Michonne finally getting her retribution against him when she finally skewer's the motherf*cker.
I should have taken some joy in
Lily blowing his head off, but I'm p*ssed off at her as well. Her stupidity in letting her daughter play in the mud unattended is the cause of her death. So, f*ck her too! Really not sure what's gonna happen now when the show returns in February. With the Prison now in ruins, everyone has scattered off in different directions. I'm sure they have a destination that was all agreed upon where they should meet. But I think most of the people will be fending for themselves for awhile as they try to regroup.
