I'm not a fan of back-door pilots, which this clearly was. Since this is only a 6 episode event, why the f*ck would Chris Carter waste an episode shifting focus onto two new characters that may or may not get their own series? With so much attention on these characters, Mulder and Scully are reduced to minor characters in their own show. So, we are really getting just 5 episodes and not 6 if you want to look at it that way. Disappointed. The other thing that really irked me is that they chose to make these new characters carbon copies of Mulder and Scully. Do we really need to have both with Red Hair? With that said, the highlight for me and the only thing that was worth anything was Mulder's drug induced hallucination that gave us the return of The Lone Gunman and more CSM.
