So, I just watched Episode 1 (Season 11 Premiere) and it was chaotic as f*ck. Everything was flying by pretty fast. I can pick up anything, but I was somewhat lost because I couldn't remember anything from Season 10. I thought I remembered stuff....but I was obviously mis-remembering it because it wasn't matching up with what was happening story-wise here. But that ending.....
WHAT
THE
F*CK!!!
Seriously, WTF is up with this Twist Ending. It's beyond stupid to now suggest that Cigarette Smoking Man is the father of William. Seriously...WTF is this sh*t? Why is it that Chris Carter is so hell-bent on p*ssing me off? Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know that this Twist Ending is nothing more than a way to f*ck with the characters on screen as well as the viewer....but to go there is very cheap.....very Soap Opera. The "flashback" sequence with archival footage of Scully and CSM through me for a loop. I've seen every single episode of the series multiple times and I don't remember that scene at all. Anyway, this is why I have major issues with Chris Carter whenever he writes and directs episodes. He is to X-Files what George Lucas is to Star Wars. Time to give the reigns to someone else because clearly Carter has lost it.
