Interesting little phenomenon happening in TV land at the moment: the boom of scripted shows is leading to fewer pilot pitches. Sounds counter-intuitive, right?

I have no idea when Phineas and Ferb airs (and if the new episodes will ever find their way to Netflix), but dang are they pickin' up special events.  They already did a Star Wars episode, but we recently learned that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will reprise their Shaun Of The Dead roles for an episode (seriously!), and now they're going to do an episode parodying Lost... and it's going to be written by Damon Lindelof himself!

I keep thinking of Modern Family as being the show that can get whoever it wants, but... come on!  Phineas and Ferb is the show that did a quick joke about Twilight and cast Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin as Edward and Bella... and Michael J Fox as the werewolf!

As you guys know, my Breaking Bad marathon concluded a few days ago......and yet, I'm compelled to watch even more episodes on AMC right now.  ;D

These are the for-sure shows I will be watching. Most are returning series. But there are a few new shows that I will be checking out. Hopefully they are good and have a nice run. I haven't factored in any mid-season replacements yet as I don't know what they are. But as of now, this is my schedule. I left off shows like Utopia, even though I intend to check that out as well. But it's not a priority for me.I may use the open slot on Saturday to catch up on lesser shows OnDemand to sample them as they are made available. Missing from the schedule are New Girl and The Mindy Project. Not sure why they are MIA. They may have been bumped to mid-season status.

Every year the list looks pretty daunting, but it always seems to work out because usually half the shows I will watch live while I work and the other half ends up being OnDemand, which I get to pick and choose when I watch them.

Forgot to add Hannibal and TWD to my list of shows. But they aren't hitting the airwaves just yet. So, it will be interesting to see what has survived and what hasn't by the time both of those shows air. CSI: Cyber, another show I'm interested in doesn't arrive until 2015.

Checking out the 2 hour Pilot for Utopia right now. The best way I can describe it is that it's a cross between Survivor and Big Brother as 15 people are literally locked into a 5 acre farm. They are task to create their community anyway they want. It's a year long social experiment.

Yea, most of the chicks on there have turned their Utopia into a clothing optional society. But some of the other people (ironically enough, the dudes) are objecting to this. I get why the Pastor on the show is having issues, but the other dudes, it doesn't make sense in objecting.
