Well, I've certainly heard of The Strain, and I THINK I heard good things about it, but this video from Comic-Con convinced me that I gotta see it.

WTF was that?

THIS convinced you to see The Strain?

Anyway... The Strain is very good. I can't believe I missed the premiere of the new season. If Charter doesn't put this On Demand, like they are NOT doing with The Last Ship.

Let's hope that changes

I didn't know that the show had a sense of humour, I've only ever seen little flashy commercials for it.

Is Charter your TV Provider? Never heard of them. Over here, they (Time Warner) has The Last Ship on On Demand, which is how I watch the show.

It doesn't have a sense of humor. This little piece is nothing like the show. I'm still scratching my head on it. I've seen diametrically opposite marketing before, but it's rare and not sure it worked (maybe American Horror Story did something... Chip? Do you recall?).

The Strain has an overall dark gloominess to it. Well produced, edited and acting.

Yea, Charter Communications is the provider. I am totally P*ssed about there business practices. I missed the Premiere for the last ship. I checked On Demand and the episode didn't show up until 7 days later. I watched it.

I missed the 3rd episode. Guess what happened. Charter removed all episodes. Even the one I watched. There were two (2 minute) promo spots left on. WTF.

And right now, no Strain episodes available. Goddamit.

I'm thinking it has to be agreements with the studio's on what becomes available for On-Demand. Some shows have it all. Others... nada.

Here's what's apparently the "cast" trailer for Wet Hot American Summer.  And what a cast.

I just caught the premiere of The Jim Gaffigan Show. It was good and it has potential for what it is: a family comedy. It's never going to be a must-watch series for me by a long shot, but I will tune in when it comes on most likely.

I watched the premiere. I thought it was rather slow. Love Gaffigan in his stand up. I didn't think his stuff translated to well.

I just checked out the first episode of Why? With Hannibal Burress and it needs some serious work. Honestly, I don't think any amount of work is going to make this funny at all. He's great on Broad City, but as the host of his own 'Talk Show', he is not. I've already taken this off my Roku Watch-list.

Here's da trailer for the Fargo Season Two.  Can't wait.  Didn't realize that Patrick Wilson was gonna be dere playing da lead.  You might spot Bruce Campbell as Reagan in the background on posters and TV.

I just checked out the first episode of Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll with Dennis Leary. He's already got one pretty sizable hit with Rescue Me, which I'm a big fan of. So, I was very curious to see what his new FX show would be like. The tone reminds me more of Californication with some hints of Rescue Me as far as humor goes. I'm definitely on board with this series. I just wish they would have given more thought to the title of the show. It's a mouthful with all those '&'s'.

That caught my attention. I want to check it out too. Maybe my wife might like it, since she enjoyed Californication.

I just knocked out the first 3 episodes / Season 1 of Playing House and I'm digging it. Some very funny moments. Great characters. Well-written. The reason why I decided to give this series a shot is because of Jessica St. Clair. I only knew her from Review. Her role is very small in that series, but in Playing House she is carrying the show with Lennon Parham, both are extremely funny and play off each other very well. Lots of chemistry. Throw in Keegan-Michael Key and you have a sure-fire comedy hit.

Just watched another episode of Playing House and wouldn't you know, Andrew Daly, the star of Review pops up on the show. It was great.  :)
